Did anyone show you the ropes when you came on? "Kassie [DePaiva, Blair] was very helpful showing me the ins and outs of working in this genre -- like camera blocking and how things work."
Were you familiar with soaps before you began? "No. I wasn't familiar with soaps at all. I remember when I was a kid, I may have glanced at one. In the summer, my mom would watch."
Did you know that you were going to go from being Walker to being Todd? "No, that was a surprise."
Once you found out that you were playing a recast role, what did you do to make it your own? "I didn't consciously make it my own; it just happened. I acted as a I felt I should in the moment and let it grow organically."
Who is the first person you told when you got the job? "My wife [Sara]."
What's the first thing you bought for you dressing room? "Toothpaste and a toothbrush."
What was your first pet peeve? "Being afraid of my character looking stupid. But if you're on a soap, [your character] is going to do stupid things."
What sort of fan mail are you getting? "I got some poetry written for me. Someone sent me a Yankee hat...but I hate the Yankees [laughs]!"
What has surprised you about being on a soap? "I didn't know it was going to be so relentless. It's constant work. It's really a difficult job. I didn't realize it was going
to be so taxing."
