While most Llanview residents may wish that Todd would keep his trap shut, his portrayer, Trevor St. John, is voluntarily taking a vow of silence for nine days while at a meditation retreat in Colorado. "It's going to be all-day meditation," the actor explains. "It's a difficult task to sit for even five minutes and not try to entertain yourself!"

However, St. John is up for the challenge thanks to his daily meditation exercises and bimonthly weekend getaways. And in the end, he feels it is worth it because of how the experience enriches his existence. "The idea is to really appreciate your life," he muses, "to appreciate the sounds and the smells and the sights. The world's a vibrant place. You can either ignore it, take it for granted or appreciate it."
