There is a dark secret, passed down over the years from generation to generation and never revealed to anyone who is not a Londoner. The secret of THE GAP.
Like the devil's triangle, a mysterious confluence of weird powers defines a small area at the heart of the busiest city in Europe. London has at its heart a place where people and even entire trains have been known to vanish, some for ever, others to return after many years.
For Tourists, a glance at the tourist map reveals a station called MANSION HOUSE, yet the station is not really there. Most days you can board a train at Tower Hill and Travel along the tube stopping at Monument, Cannon Street and then Blackfriars.
However, on days when the evil force is in play the train will be halted by an unseen irresistible power and the doors will slide open. No Londoner will dare to even look at the ghost station, let alone get out. Tourists who leave the train have been known to vanish. Others reappear, years later. Sometimes a hippy trapped since the 60's or a punk trapped in the 70's will break free and re-board a train, unaware that decades have passed. many can only babble, having lost their powers of speech.
They have not been in the twighlight zone, but in the GAP. A station that only exists in the underworld and does not come out at the surface. Once there you are doomed to roam its tunnels for an eternity, riding the neverending escalator of doom,
If you travel the underground, listen for the warnings cried out when the ghost station has been seen.
