Tolaga Bay & Anaura Bay
Head north on the Pacific Coast Highway (SH35) past some of New Zealand's
prettiest ocean beaches to Tolaga Bay, a charming country village. Walk
along the longest pier in the Southern Hemisphere, visit the Tolaga Bay Cashmere
Company to admire and possibly purchase quality cashmere woollen garments.
An option for those feeling fit is a walk over the hill to Cook's Cove where
Captain Cook's HMS Endeavour was reprovisioned in 1769. Continue on to
historic Anaura Bay to explore the historic and scenic site of Cookıs second
New Zealand landfall. Take a bush walk and listen to native New Zealand
bird song. View the bay and the island from a lookout and enjoy a stroll
along the golden sands of this very special beach.
Approx 6 hours. Picnic lunch provided! $100 pp. Minimum charge
$200.
