Out 'n About: Running Links
So me, I'm into roaming the wild, especially in company of a dog; then it makes it a mini-adventure instead of something I 'should' do (no, I do enjoy running... once I get going). But since I can't take care of my brother's dog Ripley anymore :( and won't be adopting one myself for a few years yet... :) and since reaching my preferred semi-wild places means driving a good 15-20 minutes, which seems kind of contradictory in the end, I usually go running through the city streets and around the pond at the nearby park. At a good pace watch the trees fly by, face to the wind, legs pushing, a little harder, a little faster, a little longer than my breath wants me to go, a friendly wave, try not to puff too loudly, skip across the street, and on my way, gray highway to sing me faster, farther, onward. -TR 24 January, 2006
