BROKEN PROMISES, SHATTERED DREAMS
I sit at my window and watch the rain dance
My cheek touching the cool pane of the glass
I tremble as the tears well in my eyes
My heart feels empty and dark as the night
Suddendly I know I'm no longer alone
I'm not afraid of this presence unknown
I feel a calming sensation enter my soul
My Angel has arrived to listen to my cries
I gave my heart and soul to the love of my life
Every emotion, every passion, every part of me
Trusting and opening up like I'd never done before
And now I must face the betrayal and heartache alone
Why was I blinded by this love I thought real
How could I not see the deception lying in the shadows
My hopes, my dreams, his promises, all shattered and broken
Struggling now to find my way back from being so lost
I'm grateful now for realizing the truth of it all
The trust I could not recognize was that of my own
Now I must believe and have faith in myself
And walk away from this fantasy that filled my life

LOCKED IN MY HEART
You arrived so unexpectedly that special night
Bringing me the hope of the love I thought was lost.
And though we live so very far away
No distance can keep you from being locked in my heart.
I feel your presence all around me
I see your warm smile, I feel your gentle touch
I hear your voice whisper, "I love you sweetheart"
This bond between us will live on forever.

Once in a lifetime you may be fortunate enough
to find that one true love, the love of your life.

When the night is dark and dreary
And the loneliness has set in
I look for my shining star

Sunset Lovers
We were all alone walking hand in hand
Our bare feet sinking in cool wet sand
The sun setting orange like a fountain spout
So lustrous no one would doubt.
We walked along the water's shore
Our hearts and minds joined forevermore
