 | Artsplosure 2007 in downtown Raleigh's Moore Square artist district
was as fabulous as the weather. Artist from all over the eastern
seaboard of the US were represented with plenty of paintings,
crafts, pottery and especially jewelry. I cannot recall an
Artsplosure event in my 20 or so years of being in Raleigh where there
were so much jewelry being exhibited. Being a painter myself I would
have enjoyed seeing more Fine Art paintings. Don't get me wrong there
were plenty of painters, potters and the like but I just would have
liked to seen more. the kids could not go wrong with the many
activities for them. Face paining. doodling tables. candle making and
the GIANT WALL PAINTING sponsored
by Jerry's Artarama were
fun for the whole family. Artsplosure 2007 was a complete success for
the over 10,000 in attendance this year. - Joe
