Born Swaveo Ajanaku Shabazz from Memphis, TN. on January 26th.  I am the eldest of twins by 1min. & 43secs.  My twin brother was tragically killed at age 17, which nearly brought an end to my rap aspirations.  But my brother Saqwan came to me in a dream and told me not to stop.  I joined the Marine Corps which eventually led to my migration to California.  In the marines I joined the special forces unit called "Force Recon" serving as a sniper.

To answer the question, "why, in God's name, would I use the name of someone who is so disliked, misunderstood, but really mistaken for being a sellout and just a down right traitor?"  Please believe, before I chose Uncle Tom, I reasearched it for weeks before I realized the the name the God had given me, through prayer, was a blessing.

Uncle Tom was born Josiah Henson.  In 1830, he and his family escaped to Ontario via the Underground Railroad.  In 1841, he moved to Dresden and helped to establish the Dawn Settlement.  The settlement was established to provide a refuge and a new beginning for former slaves.  Through his leadership, the British American Institute, one of Canada's first industrial schools, was founded.  The school was intended for the advancement of fugitive slaves.  This makes him a hero, and that's what I want to be and why I believe the name was meant for me.

I am determined, along with my fellow Tribesmen to make the world focus on something more than partying and shaking butts.  I believe today that we strongly need this, and with God and the Tribe Shabazz, we will free our people mentally first and they will be able to free themselves physically from fratricide,  genocide, and all  of  the other ills of today's society.
Born Roderick L. Davis from Los Angeles, CA. on May 2nd.(Taurus tha bull).  Music has always been a very important part of my life.  I grew up in a God Fearing home that set the tone for my life.

I began playing the drums at an early age, and listening to beats replay in my head made me enjoy music even more.  I played for several churches and sang in the choir.  The more I played and sang inspired me.  I knew music was for me.  You must keep God in your life first and you can accomplish anything that you set your mind to.

Outside of church I also disc jockeyed at parties, but the tip of the iceberg was when I had the pleasure of touring with Ms. Iris Stevenson and the
Crenshaw high school Elite Choir in Nice, France for the Nice Carnival, a huge parade given annually.  We sang in their beautiful churches and marched down the streets and rode floats.  I could feel an enormous adrenaline rush, saying to myself,"this is how it will be when the world is listening to my music."

I know that being positive will bring positive things.  I am determined to become successful through my music, writing, producing, and performing.
