Breath Of Fire III

*** I couldn't defeat the final boss not even on level 47. You recommended Balance Rings. Where can I find those?
I've put it in the FAQ, however I'll tell you in order to save you a lot of searching work.

There's only one spot in the entire game you can get them. The faerie world.

You should have a Merchant "Items-Ability", and culture level 7
This will take some time, because the faeries handle things rather slowly, but after a couple of hours playing they should sell "Balance Rings", thing you need to defeat Myria, since they prevent you from getting confused when Myria uses "Venom".

I ususally recommend people to open this shop as soon as you can get a faerie civilization running, because patience is required on this one.

I hope I could help you out....

*** Where can I get the Goo King Sword? I've tried stealing the green apple then killing them, but I've done it about 50 times and got nothing but a lot of exp. I've also heard that you have to use the green apple on them after you steal it then steal again to get the sword, but I did that and also got nothing. If you know anything else about it, please let me know. Thanks
To be honest... Getting the Goo King Sword (Best weapon for Ryu) is only possible with EXTREEMLY much luck.

Indeed, stealing from a Goo King will only result into getting a green apple (which makes the Goo King awfully mad). Giving it back won't make sense.

Killing a Goo King is the only way, and when you are EXTREEMLY lucky,  Chances are very little, (I think it's even less than 1%), you get the  GooKing Sword.

In all the times that I played BOF3 (That's so much that you can't image how much it is, must be 50 times or more), I only got ONCE so lucky to receive one. It's really annoying, but that's the way it is :(

*** I'm stuck in the lighthouse where the fire chrysyms go and that line is pising me off
I'm affraid that line is your only ticket to complete the lighthouse...
Timing right is the best you can do...
But when you are patient you can see that the screen lights up every time
the line is on the right spot.... But when you see the screen light up it's
already to late, alas...
But between two light-ups are always four cycles...

The best you can do is wait until the sceen lights up...
Then let the line go four times and on the fourth time press the button
EXACTLY when the screen is going to light up...
It requires some practice.... Good luck...

*** I'm in Ryu's dream and I've listened to Rei's and Nina's stories. I'm now by a dragon statue and two tablets... I've examend them both, and I got stuck here. How can I continue?
Stand in front of the statue and examine it. It'll say "Bown down and pray for me" or something like that. Now don't do anything for a short while and the way will open.

*** If you missed a gene, can you always come back to that spot to pick it up?
In the end... Yes... Some locations may be inaccessible for awhile, but in the end you can find all missed genes.

*** Where can I find a Wraith?
In Caer Xhan. In the artifical world section where you'll also meet an old friend (don't want to spoil the game)

*** And what about Drak, the paralysed lizard man who supposedly cast "Cure" when you un-paralyse him? Can I find him anywhere other than the Desert of Death? I really don't want to go back in there, I've already walked through it three times, it sucked.
try the battle fields near Caer Xhan.

*** What kind of fishing rods and lure are there all around?
As long as Ryu is a kid you can only get the Wooden Rod and the Bamboo Rod.
That last one is not recommended, since fish can easily escape with that.

At the Checkpoint North you can get a Deluxe Rod. Rei must open the locked
door to acquire it...

The very best rod is the "Spanner"... You can only acquire it after crossing
the ocean. Go to Steel Grave (Momo must be in your party). There's some kind
of a crashed aircraft here. In it is a door. Momo can use her bazooka to
shoot it open. Behind this door is the "Spanner".

Best lure depends on what fish you want to catch. One of the best I know is
the "Fat Frog". And you can get it by using "Pilfer" or "Steal" on Hoppers,
in Caer Xhan (final dungeon)...

It seems that you can get better if you got a "Clear" save (can be made
after defeating the final boss), but only if you have the maximum fishing
level, which I never acquired :-(

Breath Of Fire IV
*** Where can I find master Bunyan?
Maybe you remember the mountain (marked as "?") between Astana and the Highway (to Chedo). It has another exit... If you access that exit you'll find a new spot on the map marked as "?"... If you enter it you'll be in a location where Fou-Lu had his second section. Follow the road and you'll meet Bunyan...

*** How can I make my characters learn a move from enemies?
You can get skills from enemies by letting your characters guard.
If your enemies perform a move that can be leared it'll be displayed in blue
letters, and if an exclamation mark is about your character's head the move
is learned. If that happens you'll also get a a message...

*** Can you tell me the location of all Dragon Crystals?
** Ryu:
- Aura: Aquired when Fou-Lu gets Astral
- Kaiser: Aquired when Ryu dies in the battle against Ight
- Wyvern/Weyr: Located in the mountains when going to the checkpoint near Skikk
- Myrmidon/Knight: In the forest near Fou-Lu's Tomb. You've been here before  with Fou-Lu. Take the road up, Fou-Lu used to outrun Yohm. Search this area and you'll find the gene.
- Behemoth/Mammoth: On one of the islands on the flats you need to cross to get in the Fou Empire from Pabbab.
- Mutant: You'll get it for completing the En Jhou ruins, east from Koshka. But if you give the merchant the treasure from the runes, it means the gene and then you'll loose that gene. But there are other ways to get past that merchant

** Fou-Lu
- Astral: Aquired when Fou-Lu wipes out the guards near his tomb
- Tyrant: Aquired when Ryu gets Kaiser
- Serpent/Peist: Aquired when Fou-Lu finds the gene halfaway the sactum. You
can't miss it, because you can't get past it without picking it up
- Behemoth/Mammoth: Fou-Lu will have it once Ryu acquired it.

*** How do I reach Tarhn's Camp?
When you enter the plains from your camp, keep going east (the red compass needle points north so it should be pointing to the left) until you see a giant rock.  mmediatly when you reach that rock, turn Ryu to the North-East (red compass needle in upper-left corner) and keep going. You should see some smoke in the distance. Keep going to the smoke and you'll reach Tahrn's camp.

Wild Arms

*** Where can I find the secret tool?
The secret tool is located in a crate behind Vassim's house (Elw world). After Rudy has been recovered from loosing his arm he can blow it up with his bombs to get the secret tool. But personally I wouldn't worry about that thing. If you give it to Engineer Tom in Adlehyde he'll fix the statue of the castle Guardian Zelduke so you can get the Castle Rune there. But Zelduke is the MOST WORTHLESS GUARDIAN OF THE GAME!!! Especially when Cecilia has "Hi-Shield" and a wise player already has that move when you reach that part of the game.

*** Where to locate, the guardian Dan Dairam?
That's a good one! Dan Dairam, guardian of TimeSpace is the most powerfull guardian of the game, and the best guardian to equip Cecilia with. To locate him you should, first have beaten Lady Harken at Artica Castle. After that you must go to Adlehyde and pay all the restoration fee's they request at the mayor's house. After you've paid the donation of 100,000 Gella leave Adlehyde and re-enter it and go to the pub. Here's a guy who'll give you the "Dispellado". Now go to Baskar and go to that strange circle outside of town. Use the dispellado on the rocks in this order. North-West, South-West, South-East, North-East, West, South, East, North. The doors to the illusion temple will open (the game will tell you that happens). The platform in the middle will let you enter the illusion temple where Dan Dairam awaits.
(After doing this you might go to the Pub of Milama to see a familiar person, but it's only nice to do and makes no point for the rest of the game).

*** Okay I've defeated Mother... What do I have to do now?
I really hate how the creators of this game have done this part. Without a walktrough or endless guessing you'll hardly come through unless you're extreemly lucky. After Emma has told you about her E.I.A. go to Rosetta and talk to the mayor. After he told you about the guardian Lucadia go back to the boat and head straight for the dragon vortex. From here you should be able to find the way on your own.
HINT! After completing this dungeon be sure to find an isolated guilt to take higher magic for Cecilia. You'll need it!!

Wild Arms 2

*** How can I get through the emulator zone
The route I took. I'm sure it's not the shortest but it got me through.

There are two bosses here. For their strategies I refer to my BOSS FAQ.
(They are Caina and Kanon).

Pull the block and push it to the purple spot on the west to activate the gate.
go through the gate.

Go East
Go South
Go East
Go North (You'll see an inactive gate)
Go South

Use Pooka to open the chest to receive Tim's tool "Air Ballet".

Use the Air Ballet to push the block-you-can't-reach to the
purple spot and you'll see that it activates something.

Go North and you'll see that the gate is activated, but Caina will
come to bother you.

Fight her.

Enter the gate (East)
Step on the teleporter on the north platform
Go via the south platform (Don't step on the teleporter) and jump to the
platform on the East.
Don't step on the teleporter but go for the gate on the east.

You see some platforms. I will note them this way

N
NW NE
W M E
SW SE
S
Step on the teleporter on SW
Step on the teleporter on M
Walk to NE but don't step on the teleporter but take the gate to the East
Use Air Ballet to remove one of the blocks in the generator and go back

Use teleporter on SE, M, NE and go to the North gate
Use Air Ballet to remove one of the blocks in the generator and go back

Use teleporter on NW and then SW and take the South gate
Use Air Ballet to remove the last one of the blocks in the generator and Kanon will
appear and fight you.

After the fight with Kanon you'll have 5 minutes to get away.

Use the teleporters on E, N, M, SW, W, and take the gate to the west

Use the teleporter and jump to the platform on the north and go the the gate on the west

Take the North gate then the south gate and run south to get back in the train.

*** Were do you get Marivel's My Mike Tool or whatever its called?
First you need to go to the library at the castle in Meria Boule. There's a book only Marievel can read. If you've read that book with Marievel, use Lombardia to go to an island (South West on the map) with all forest and only one clear spot where Lombardia can land. Land here and search the area and you'll find a castle.

In this castle (You'll need Tim's Wind Cloak here) you can find the Wind Up Key. Marievel's second tool. You can use it to move blocks with a face on it.

You can complete this castle for bonusses, but I don't think you need to.

Now go to the place where Caina brought Marina to, when she abducted her (where Ashley will get his new lord form) and near the entrance is a block with a face. Let Marievel use the wind up key on that and a door will open. In the room you'll get now, Marievel can get "My Mike". You can use it to summon optional bosses from pyramids or to cause an instant encounter.

*** I am stuck trying to get Ashley out of prison. I have the card & his equipment. But when I go to his cell he says that the card should open the door, heals me, then asks for his stuff....repeat forever. I know I need him to use his knife to get past the machine gunner, figuring that out was easy. but how do I hand over his equipment or open the cell door, every time I try it says I need a special key! No shit jackass I have it in my hand
You have to use the jail card on the cell door and then the door will open. If you are inside talk to Ashley again and he'll join the party again.

*** I can't open the door at the Alchimic Plant. Do you know the password?
The password in the English version is "ISK". If you are playing the japanese version I'm affraid I can't help you.

*** On your site on the monsters on wild arms 2. you said when you fight the optional boss  Xenon to have everybody wear the light ring. where do you get the light ring?
Go to Valeria Chateau. Use the elevator to go to B1 and there's a guy who sells them.

*** Where can I find Ragu O Ragula
Go to Holst and enter the mine... After the save spot you may find a pyramid (where Brad can find his ARM AM Cluster). You'll need Marivel's "My Mike" tool to summon him.

*** What should I do with the "Adult Magazine"?
In Slayheim Castle in the very same room where you found that magazine you can find a shelf where a book is missing. Put the Adult Magazine in there and a secret door will open. Behind it is a chest containing a "Secret Sign". A nice item to increase your magical abilities.

***  I need some help in finding the 4 gold mediums and since I seen you wrote alotta good faqs I was wondering if you knew where they are and could help me?
As a matter of fact I know where they are...
Here goes:

Dan Dairam
You need to go to the promised catacombs. You can only get there with
Marivel in your party and Tim must have the "Wind Cloak". Marivel must
have read a book in the Meria Boule Library. A book only she can read.
The promised catacombs are located on the island south-west. Use Lombadia to
get there. You can land on that clearing in the middle.
Near the end of this optional dungeon is a door locked with a duplicator.
There you can find Dan Dairam.

Zephyr
In the sacrificial altar is a dragon statue (the first of the 3 you'll
find). If you turn the camera, you might find a doorway under the path
you're walking on. Enter that doorway. Stand on the "Sagitarius" sign (I
believe, in any case, you need to be in face with the "Gemini" sign) for a
short while and the door will open. Open the chest here.
After finishing the Trapezohedron you can get the medium by letting Ashley
talk to Marina in Valeria Chateau.

Justine
In the sacrificial altar is a lian statue (the 2nd of the 3). There are two
plateaus here. You may have used Brad's kick boots to lower one of them. But
you need to go stand under the other. Here's doorway.
The puzzle here is to be solved by Lilka. Go up the stairs and let her
jump on of the statue's and let her use her "Fire Rod" on the statue that is
higher than the others. The door will open.
Open the chest here to get a lion statue.
After finishing the Trapezohedron you can get the medium by letting Brad
talk to Billy in T'Bok Village.

Raftina
The last statue in the Sacrificial Altar, just before the end. Jump in
the pit. You may see an entrance blocked by blocks. Brad can kick away those
blocks with his Kick Boots. You'll see three colored statues in the next
room. Push them all in the water and the door will open. You'll get a
goddess statue by opening the chest.
After finishing the Trapezohedron you can get the medium by letting Tim talk
to Colette in Baskar Village

*** I know, this may sound rather silly.  But I'm stuck in Slayheim  Castle. I can't figure out how to press the device from above using a foot like the hint on the wall says.  And I can't find a thorough enough walkthrough w/ the info.  Can you possibly help me?  Thanx if you can.
The trick is simple... Go stand at the top of the stairs and let Brad kick the pillar here... The pillars will fall like a domino track and press the button.

*** How do I learn "Turn Undead", which I seem to need to defeat the Ghost of Vinsfeld?
Tim must have the medium "Odoryuk" equipped... He must kill a certain ammount of enemies with that  equipped to obtain that spell (don't know exactly how much)
