Well, this weekend was ver fun filled. My friends and I took a little trip to a closed down place here called Forest Zoo. It used to be a really great place for kids to go. There was the zoo part that had animals that you could go in and see, and feed. Then, across the street was a place called Fantasy Forest. It was full of little houses and structures to go along with nursery rhymes. (There was an old lady that lived in a shoe, they had the shoe, and a lady dressed up inside) When we were in elementary school, they used to take us on a field trip there.

I had recently found out that it had been closed down for a few years. So, being the little adventurers that we are, we decided to go exploring. When we go there, it was posted all over the place "No Trespassing". After much thought, we decided that we were going to go ahead and go in anyway. All we wanted to do was go in and look around and get some pictures. We had a great time!

We went in, and found all the little houses and things, and remembered what it used to be like and told our stories to each other about our trip there. The trees and grass were badly overgrown, but the little houses weren't really in that bad of shape for no one tending to it. All in all, we didn't get arrested, we didn't destroy anything, and we had a great time. Sometimes it's just nice to take a step back into your childhood for a day and relive it. It will never come around again, so hold on to it as long as you possibly can.
