We spent the first part of December in the Bercovich boatyard just outside of Marina Costa Baja in La Paz. The proprieter, Abel Bercovich was very friendly and helpful. He even offered us the loan of one of the family cars if we wanted to drive downtown. This is a picture of our friend Bruce Balan working on his own Cross trimaran, Migration.
One back in the water, we put Trick in the Abaroas Marina next door to Marina La Paz and headed off for England to help celebrate Mum's 80th birthday and spend Christmas with family.
A family portrait of sorts. Mum, Dad, brother William, nephew Daniel and myself at Mum's birthday party. On the right, Patricia wearing clothes she hasn't worn for a while, but happy in cool, though soggy England.
We celebrated Christmas with family and friends, even a singing fish! No, that isn't my Christmas present on the right. I was helping Dad trim the feet on one of his sheep that has gone lame. Finally it was back to Los Angeles for a brief visit with friends there and then back to La Paz.
Maybe not interesting shots for many but we were delighted to fly over many places we had visited over the Summer. Bahia Los Angeles with its many islands. We didn't get to Isla Angel de la Guardia, pictured here with with Puerto Refugio at its Northern tip, but hope to visit there soon. Next is Isla San Marcos, then San Juanico with La Ramada to its left, then Puerto Ballandra on Isla Carmen and finally El Mogote with the city of La Paz on the far side of the narrow waterway.
Trick was still securely docked in the Abaroas Marina and we spent a few more days in the very enjoyable marina before heading South to Puerto Vallarta.
