Kris Oates and Baillando en Diamantes ("Dancing on Diamonds")

This is my 4 yr old Peruvian Paso stallion, Baillando en Diamantes (Pesco).

I started teaching tricks to him as a yearling. He is very smart and active and I needed to do something to keep his respect and attention without boring us both out of our minds until he was old enough to ride.

We have been doing tricks for three years.

These pictures are of us at a Hawkwood Medieval Fantasy Faire 1999.

Pesco and I performed two shows a day for 8 weekends.

He was costumed as a unicorn while I was the Lady Cristina.

I call him Dancer when performing. He bows on one knee(with and without a rider) for applause and the other so I can mount. lays down, shakes, gives kisses. counts. rears on command with and without a rider. rolls a barrel with his nose, and sometimes says yes and no. He is a real ham and loves to perform.
