Nancy Lane Smith and Dally
Dally is my 16h, buckskin paint mare. She is now 6. I was present at her birth, and have been hanging around her ever since. She pulls a wagon or surry and in her spare time she has given me two buckskin paint fillies.
Dally knows a few tricks and some regular stuff too: Kiss, shake hands, yes, no, look left, look right, back by voice or pulling and steering with her tail.

Dally and I are working on the bow, but let's just say it is SLOW GOING. She will come at a lope when I call her. I can climb up upon a post or anything handy, tell her "Here" and she sidepasses over and lines her back up so that I can get on.
I can ride Dally bridleless back to the house, and even on short trail rides and obsticle courses.
Look Mom! No hands!
I can even stand up on her! We took 5th Place in Trail Trials in California when she was 3. (You are judged on rugged obsticle courses done at your own speed...climbing mountains, crossing rivers, scaling solid granite boulders...not for the faint of heart.)
Kids, don't try this at home.
