LISTEN UP: On the bandwagon since 1984
There's a lot of emotion tonight, we Colts fans were let down pretty hard.
I've said it now, and I'll say it again - Indianapolis is a better city because of the Colts.
Our downtown is the nicest downtown of any city its size in the US. Places to eat, drink, play, shop, etc. have all shown up since we built the dome and brought the Colts in to town. Does anyone remember what downtown used to look like?
The team, the players, and the league contribute tremendously to our community with charity support and leadership for our youth.
The team has had its ups and downs. Does anybody remember the 1-15 season??? ONE AND FIFTEEN!
This year, 32 teams played in the National football league. 28 of them were already done for the season before kickoff tonight. We made to the AFC Championship game.
Only two games can make it to the Superbowl, and I'm damned proud that we were in the running. Only one team will win the Superbowl this year, or any year. There is no BCS for the NFL.
The other 31 teams will not start talking about kicking their f*cking teams to the curb because they didn't win it all.
I think we all need to be damned happy that we don't risk getting fired everytime we don't execute our jobs to perfection. Unless your a doctor or a soldier, we don't suffer that kind of pressure.
And neither should the Colts - as a football team, or an organization.
As a life-long member of the Vast Right Wing Conspiracy, I actually supported a Democratic mayor this year because of his commitment to the Colts versus his challenger. That's called sacrifice.
There's no way in Hell I'm giving up on this team simply because of one sh1tty night in Foxboro.
Get your chin up guys, and stop the f*cking whining.
GO COLTS!
