Outcoached again?

I started a thread this morning asking whether Dungy could take this team to the next level. How do you feel about him now?

The same. Dungy didn't turn the ball over three times in the red zone.

A little bit bud to Dungy's defense Tom Moore calls the offensive plays.

Dungy didn't throw 4 interceptions.

This comes down to execution on the field - or lack thereof.

Only thing I say negative abbout Dungy is that he should have challenged the Stokely noncatch. It clearly was a reversible call. Why didn't he?

I agree, looked like the ground caused the drop. Didn't we convert for a 1st down anyway.

I was told all week on this forum that the Colts O was far superior to the Pats D. And the Pats O was weak and error prone. So why was the execution lacking? Is it coaching, or is the talent level overrated?

I feel good about him, but my belief that you are a loser is comfirmed, Jackass.

I believe you are confusing the two seperate qualities of talent and execution. They are not one and the same.

My only complaint about Dungy is too nice. He should of been ripping the ref's a new ***hole after the 1st of the blatant holding no calls. Work the refs early, maybe they remember the rules and make a call late in the game.

I have no problems with Dungy,
Tiproast. The players like him, respect
him and play for him. Plus he does not
make Sherman style tactical errors on
the field. The basic problem (although
peyton didn't have his A game) was that
we need more horses on defense. Its up
to Polian now. If he drafts exclusively for
defense this spring and brings in a quality
free agent or two( after signing Manning
to a cap friendly deal) I like our odds of
reversing this years result.

If I had those answers I would work for the NFL.

Players remain human beings. Sh1t rolls up hill to a coach to an extent, but in the end, we all have bad days.

At the same time, give some credit to your Pats. They're on a mission.

Maybe so. I happen to think the Colts are very talented, more talented than the Patriots.

Put it this way - if Belichick were coaching this Colts team, and Dungy were coaching the Pats, who wins?

I don't agree, jsscolts. Tiproast has been a rare, quality contributor. The smack has been light, the questions have been solid, and the insight lucid.

His team won tonight, sh1t happens.

I think the results are the same, or nearly the same.

We are dealing with two different kinds of coaches, to be sure.

Dungy has only been with the Colts two years. We've already had one Hell of a turn around. You've got to give a coach a few years to get things going, especially in terms of personnel.
