IRISH-ITALIAN SPAGHETTI (From the kitchen of Linda Ballard) This is the spaghetti recipe that made me really like spaghetti. Linda is a friend I worked with in the 1960's. I enjoyed the spaghetti that her mother had made on a visit to her house. I got the recipe only recently. 1 onion (chopped) 1 pound of ground beef 1 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon chili powder 1/4 teaspoon black pepper 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder (or use fresh garlic) 1 10-1/2-11 oz. can of cream of mushroom soup (or cream of celery soup) 1 10-1/2-11 oz. can of tomato soup Angel hair pasta _____________________________ Brown meat and onion; add spices. Cover and simmer 10 minutes. Add soups. Cover and simmer 45 minutes. Add cooked spaghetti and stir. Add Parmesan cheese to serve. This can be doubled. |
