JERRY’S CRAB SOUP

    Jerry Thomas


    One meaty ham bone or beef bone (plus chopped meat)

    If available, leftover steamed crab claws

    3 quarts water

    1 large onion, chopped

    2 large stalks celery, chopped

    one 1 lb. can tomatoes

    1-3 Tb. (to taste) Old Bay Seasoning

    10 oz. pkg frozen corn

    large pkg mixed soup vegetables

    1 lb. crab (frozen claw is fine)

    Put first 6 ingredients in a large pan and simmer covered
    until meat is very tender, about 3 hours.
    Add rest of ingredients and simmer covered
    until vegetables are done.

    Makes about 5 quarts of soup.
