STRAWBERRY CAKE

From the Kitchen of LaVelle Smith

1 box yellow cake mix
4 egg yolks
1-1/4 cups fresh orange juice
1/2 cup vegetable oil
Mix as directed on cake mix box.

Whip Egg whites until foamy; add 1 cup sugar.
Pour batter into three round cake pans.
Spread egg white-mixture on top of batter
almost to the edge.

Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes.

After baking, remove from pans and stack layers
with egg-white side on top.

Add fresh sliced strawberries between the layers.
Spread whipped topping or whipping cream on top of
strawberries, then on the sides of cake.
