ZELDA 64 GAME REVIEW

Zelda: The Ocarina of Time, or Zelda 64, has probably been the best game to hit the N64, and I've decided to think about the game and do a game review, just to see how much I've enjoyed this game.

GRAPHICS - 9.9

Zelda 64 contains stunning graphics, with a complete 3D world, with animated characters, huge worlds, and incredible detail. It is obvious that Nintendo spent a lot of time on this game.

SOUND AND BG MUSIC - 9.4

The sound effects in Zelda 64 are extremely good. You can hear the sound of Link's boots against the ground, whether it's dirt, grass, or whatever, You can hear the sound of a rushing waterfall, or the hustle and bustle of a busy town market. The background music is quite good, but I wouldn't say it's top of the line. One rather major problem is that the Hyrule overworld music we all love is missing.

DIFFICULTY LEVEL - 9.9

One good thing about Zelda 64 is that it is an extremely difficult game in comparison to many others. With advance combat techniques, there can be many cool battles with tough enemies. The dungeons are huge, with complicated mazes, hard-to-crack puzzles, and lots of enemies. This is one game where you must combine brains with brawn.

REPLAY VALUE - 9.6

Even after you beat this game, there are so many secrets, items etc. that it will probably take you months to collect everything in the game. And even then, the game is so big that you can restart your game, and still have fun winning.

STORYLINE/PLOT - 9.0

Zelda 64 has a very good storyline, compared to most, but I think it's a bit too shallow. It needs more plot twists, surprises, and more interaction between characters (so far all I've heard Link say is ......... when someone asks what his name is). I think this is something Nintendo should have worked more on.
