| Hello, my name is Alex and I live in Northern N.J. I started this page for a few reasons: 1) When the weather is bad, or if I'm sick, I have nothing better to do, 2) The internet is almost unlimited in its possibilities, so maybe I can find myself or one of my friends a job that we would enjoy, 3) Just one more incentive to push our riding farther, and 4) It's kinda fun. Okay. Now about me. I've been riding for 4 and a half years, my bikes in order are 1982 Huffy Nitro, 1997 Mongoose Sniper, 1999 Standard Tao, and now I'm riding a Huffy Super Deluxe to a Specialized. You might ask how can I go from riding a Standard to a Huffy?!!! Because for me, whatever I feel more comfortable on, I ride. I also have a better set up on this bike than the last one. And besides, I see more kids my age riding Standards than Huffys. So screw you all who think that you can decide what other people ride. I mean freedom is what our sport of BMX Freestyle is based on. My favorite ramp riders are Dave Osato with his progressive whopper tricks and style, Tom Haugen with his quick skills, and Mike Adrelean with his tech skills that make conests in street more diverse. My favorite vert rider is Mat Hoffman because watching him on vert is just so amazing since he's so smooth. His tricks just flow. He makes Vert, which is my least favorite form of freestyle look fun. My favorite street rider is Van Homan. The guy is nuts. I like Andrew Faris. He just takes his flatland skills, which are amazing by themselves, and does them in the air, along with the basic street tricks. I don't quite know who my favorite ground rider is but I like watching the Japanese riders for their style. The music I listen to is anything that makes me want to get out and ride like crazy. I like heavy metal like some fast Metallica, but I also like techno metal like Sevendust. My dream sponsors would have to be Snafu because of their product line, Dans Comp because its like being sponsored by every company, and Terrible One because of their laid back attitude and because I was supporting them before anyone even heard of them. I'm learning icepick grinds and they're a hell of lot harder than feebles. The last thing I bought tor my bike was the snafu grips (see part check). If I'm not riding, I'm working on this page, listening to talk radio while playing tony hawk and imagining bikes in there instead of skateboards, looking through some old Ride BMX magazines, drawing, working out, or watching tv. | ||||||||||||
