From day one, I've been a big fan of the Julian Bashir character. He's witty, handsome, intelligent and (quite simply) cool as hell. Whether he's playing spy on the holodeck or trying to thwart Section 31, Julian is a great guy.
BIOGRAPHY : Dr. Julian Bashir was played by actor Alexander Siddig. Born on Earth in 2341, Julian Subatoi Bashir suffered from learning disabilities. In 2347, he underwent genetic resequencing to increase his mental and physical abilities. Since there are severe legal restrictions on such acts, Julian kept this a secret until it was exposed during his tenure on DS9. Bashir graduated second in his class and requested to be assigned to DS9 as its Chief Medical Officer. Julian befriended both the Cardassian Garak and Chief Engineer Miles O'Brien during his tenure on the station, falling in love with Jadzia Dax in the process. When the Dax symbiote moved into the form of Ezri Dax, Julian helped her adjust to her new situation. The two became lovers just prior to the end of the war and are still romantically involved to this day. Julian's best friend was Miles O'Brien.
