- Are you running the current Trillian version 0.725?
If not, you can find it HERE.
- Toggle the Status Window for your AIM connection while signing on. If you
receive an error similar to, "AIM: You are attempting to sign on again
too soon." or "AOL is tired of hearing from your IP address. Try
again later", it means that you have connected too many times in too
small of a time period. The time you will have to wait depends on how many
times you hammered the AIM servers. You can usually reconnect after 15
minutes. If you try to connect too early after given your warning, the
fallback timer will reset.
- IF you are running the current Trillian version 0.725, and still
experiencing connection issues, head over to The
Official Trillian Website for updates. It would also be helpful to make
a note on the forum in the corresponding thread to help determine how
widespread the problem is.

- Trillian is not vulnerable to the recently
discovered security hole in MSN Messenger.
- There are currently no known issues involving Trillian and MSN Messenger.
If you are running Trillian v0.275 and still having problems, refer to the Official
Trillian Website.

- Toggle the Status Window for your Yahoo! connection while signing on. If
you receive the error, "*** Lost connection to Yahoo! Messenger
(couldn't get header)! Error code 0." try the following:
A. In Trillian Preferences, change the
default Yahoo! server to "cs.yahoo.com" instead of "scs.yahoo.com".
If you cannot connect, move to Step B.
B. Click on the Yahoo! icon, go to Personal
Preferences, and then Account Info. Once you arrive at the Yahoo! website,
login and change your password (it can be to the same password), and then
try reconnecting through Trillian. This method plus Step A worked for me
personally.
C. If those steps did not work for you, retry
them using "csa.yahoo.com" instead of "cs.yahoo.com".
- The password changing workaround seems to work for the majority of users.
It is unknown why, but it is a temporary fix, and will hopefully be resolved
in the next Trillian update. We have yet to hear from Yahoo! when the issues
with the "scs.yahoo.com" server will be fixed.
