The Atlanta scene is blessed to have many local DJ's with considerable talent. Some of my favorites are:

  1. Jygawatt - da man. This breaks DJ just bursts with energy, and his fans are die hard, sweat-drenched, and totally in love. Unfortunately, he has just taken a two-year break from spinning. He has promised to continue putting out CD's during this period, though, so we won't be completely deprived.
  2. Sikora - awesome! Another breaks DJ who spins impecibly, and keeps his audience dancing. From his track selection to his transitions to his technique, this man makes me scream everytime I hear him. Sikora has a very distinctive style - one moment he'll lay down a track you've never heard before, and the next thing you know he'll transition into a remix of your favorite song from the 80's. He's definitely worth the price of admission.
  3. Nathan Bryce -fka Hailo, one of Atlanta's "Trance Twins." He's a very smooth spinner - if you're in the mood for something that sounds good and is pretty, he's your man. Bryce is definitely high energy, but on a more subtle level. One can really tell how he gets into the crowd, and a party where he spins is a real treat.
  4. T.mouse - not really an Atlanta native; this boy hails from Macon, GA, and is very active in the scene there, but you can often catch him in Atlanta as well. T.mouse can best be described as "crazy" - he'll have more than the record spinning with his fast-paced style and his wacky track selection, but make no mistake about his abilities; the boy is talented. His "Children of Night" CD is my workout routine. Catch him is you can.
I'll try to have more info, more DJ's, and hopefully some reviews up here soon. Please be patient with me!
