What was it like giving birth in Germany?"

Comforting actually. The hospital was great and the standard of medical care in this Country is very good. The only hard part was trying to speak German during contractions, but "ow" is pretty much the same in any language!

What was Martin like during the birth?

I couldn't have done it without him (well obviously!) - He was a star! He was by my side for 18 hours, mopping my brow and allowing me to sqeeze the life out of his fingers! He even cut the umbilical cord! What a guy!

Did it hurt?

I remember speaking to my mum just after Trinity was born, and I asked her how she could have 5 children when she knew after the first one how much it hurt! She told me that you forget the pain, and that it is so worth it you can't remember. Well I remember thinking that it was the most painfull thing I ever experienced, but I really don't remember the pain! It's wierd.. I can recall the pain of other experiences, but not this! It really is true, you forget, and it is so worth it!

What did she look like at first?

Big! She looked perfect to me! So peacefull, and really beautifull. She was squeaky clean which really surprised me, and she stared into my eyes just minutes after she was born and put on my chest. That was the greatest moment of my life

How is she?

Growing every day. She has a very healthy appetite. Her hair and eyes are getting lighter and she's becoming more and more beautiful.

Is there anything you would like to tell mothers to be?

"Listen to your body" is the best advice I could give.Don't take too much notice of other peoples' experiences because yours will be unique.Stay as active as your body will allow during pregnancy and enjoy the wonders of the process that really is a miracle!

When did you start dancing again?

Well it was a couple of days before I could sit down but I started stretching straight away.I did my first ballet class 13 days after she was born and I must say it feels great not to be pregnant.

What's Trinity like?

An angel who makes my life complete -(what am I chopped liver?hee hee-Martin!)

How can you describe how it feels to see a babys' eyes light up when she hears your voice or sees your face?A little miracle full of endless delight.

Our little miracle.
