For me, anime and manga have always been a big portion of my life. Most of the time it is because of one character in the show. I'm going to put up five of my favorites but as time goes on I do expect the list to grow immensely. Characters pictured here are most likely to be Bishounen (pretty boys) of anime.

 

1. Ryouga (Ranma 1/2)

  Ryouga is actually one of my all time favorites. In Ranma 1/2 he is Ranma's biggest rival as well as somewhat air headed and easily gets lost. For example, one time he was headed to Akane's house only to find himself in China, rather than Japan.

He is cursed and becomes a little black pig (Pchan!) whenever splashed with cold water. He changes back once he comes in contact with warm water.

In the anime, he is in love with Akane and does whatever he can to impress her. However, most of the time it doesn't go so well and he'll end up in a fight with Ranma.

I like him because he has a heart of gold and despite being a bit of an odd ball he rocks!

 

2. Kouga (Inu Yasha)

  As you might be able to tell, Kouga has a tail! ^-^ its so cute! And that isn't the only reason I love him so much. He is in constant conflict with Inu Yasha over Kagome.

Kouga is an eighteen year-old wolf demon who heads the local wolf tribe. He lost his family to betrayal and with those who remain from the original pack, he seeks to avenge his fallen brethren.

3. Ren Tsuruga (Skip Beat!)

   Skip Beat! is actually my current obsession, Ren is the handsome fellow to the left. He actually has two sides to him.

He's an actor and as such he is able to have "many faces" and his "gentlemanly smile" is actually somewhat mocking despite never showing his true nature to his fans.

As a child he was called "Corn" and serves as a mentor to the girl in the picture.

He's grown on me because he is a character with some complexity to him. He's absolutely adorable to boot and has a great sense of humor.

 

4. Dark Mousy (DNAngel)

   Dark is actually from a newer anime and serves as kind of a "dark angel." He shares a body with Daisuke Niwa and by day he appears as Daisuke but at night he thrives as the Phantom Thief Dark; stealing art and sealing the spirits within to prevent trouble.

He's grown on me due to his obvious adorable nature as well as his overall sarcastic personality.

 

5. Haji (Blood Plus)

 Haji is almost a vampire. He serves as protector to Saya and despite his slight icy nature he is one heck of a sweet heart. He also fights with a giant cross, which makes him completely awesome.

At first I didn't care for him, but he's kind of grown on me as I've watched the anime a bit more than I used to, I'm just not sure why yet.

 

6. Renji Abarai (Bleach)

   As badass as he looks, Renji can be a softy. He grew up on the streets as an orphan, however he gave it everything he had and worked his way out of poverty. And now he defends the honor of his friends with his sword.

 

He's honorable, that's why I love him. He can also look extremely dangerous and right now, if looks could kill I'm sure his would.
