Welcome to my little corner of the web, dedicated to the very talented English actor, Dominic Monaghan. Please enjoy the view and don't fall over the edge, like the Hobbits did, because carrots are scarce in these parts and we don't want any unnecessary casualties. Dominic is probably best known right now for his work in the Lord of the Rings trilogy, but there's a lot more to him than that.
Dominic is a person who is full of wry humour, natural talent and charisma, and is a cheeky delight to watch. He possesses what I would describe as an individual look; quite diminutive in stature compared to a lot of actors, a slightly crooked smile, beautiful eyes of differing size and a lover of trees and the environment, all of which make Dom an all round good bloke! He has a wonderfully expressive face and seems very uneffected by his sudden fame. If you're an admirer of Dominic and would like to find out a little more about him, you've come to the right place.
News and Site Updates:
23rd January 2004
Some more Japan premiere pictures have come to light, which can be seen here, here, here and here. A whole bucketload of credit to nuregwen for coming up with those images. I can't quite work out what that is Dominic has wrapped around his right wrist, and Elijah got a paintbrush out before he went to the premiere and painted nice trees on his suit; but it's all good! Also, there are some more Japan press conference screen caps, courtesy of the wonderful Undone. Click here, here and here for those.
Finally, there's been a status update from Scott and the Shooting Livien crew, which I will quoteth as follows:
Well, it's a new year and things are coming along well with the film. The
Director, Rebecca Cook, has entered the editing suite with Paul Zucker and
the two are now cutting the film. Very exciting. The first stills should be
available shortly, and I will let you know when they are up on the website
so you can take a look. Our still photographer has taken some AMAZING
photos, so it promises to be a visual feast! We are also working on other
content for the website, such as behind the scenes footage and some
interviews, so I'll let you know how that progresses. At that time the
website will also get a facelift for the new content!
I must say a special thank you to all the loyal Jason Behr and Dominic
Monaghan fans who have joined forces to spread the word about this film. We
are aware of your efforts, and thank you for your support! Please continue :)

Here's a very happy looking, and still clean shaven, Dominic at Tokyo's Zojoji Temple for today's Japanese premiere of ROTK. I guess this will be the concluding event in the world promotional tour *sob* Thanks to Yahoo for the picture!
Sorry, folks, but I'm locking the discussion forum for a few days. It's just taking too much bandwidth from the site at the moment, but I'll check in a few days and see how things are going and hopefully reinstate it.

There are pictures of an almost clean shaven Dom, here, here, here, here, here, here, here and here. They were taken at today's press conference at a hotel in Tokyo, as part of the world ROTK promotional tour. The pictures are from Yahoo and Getty Images.

The boys have arrived at Tokyo's Narita airport for the Japanese premiere of ROTK. There are some pictures here and here, which are a bit fuzzy but I'll try and find some better ones later. Thanks to Carolyn for the tip off! The pictures are from The House of Telcontar.
Apparently, the press conference in Japan will be viewable live at this site tomorrow between 2:30pm - 3 pm (that's Japanese time!).
I've got no idea where Dominic is at the moment. He hasn't been at any of the recent LOTR shindigs in NYC, although Elijah was quoted as saying Dom was currently "in London" (working? holidaying? shopping? who knows?!).
Dom's tongue is becoming famous in its own right. According to Erica, in a recent issue of Star magazine there was a picture of Dom sticking out his tongue with the caption, "DOMINIC MONAGHAN Who knew hobbits has such long tongues?" Thanks Erica!
The Screen Actors Guild (SAG) nominations were recently announced. No individual LOTR cast members stood out but Jackson's opus did get a thumbs up for its ensemble performance, so Dom could get a prize in that category. The SAG Awards take place in LA on 22nd February.
This Sean Astin article contains some quite interesting Dominic quotage pertaining to Sean and Elijah's off screen relationship ("They are just chalk and cheese.").
There are a couple of (oldish) audio clips from a Houston Chronicle interview with Dominic here, which I hadn't heard before (maybe it's me, but Dom sounds in a slightly bad mood!).
Finally, I added a few new affiliates. Check out Becky's new site, BillyDom.co.uk (the names speaks for itself!). Also, check out Jennifer's wonderful new Jamie Bell fan site Jamie Bell Online. Finally, check out Cyndi's new Dom site, The Dom Project.

The official The Purifiers web site has been updated. Post production is practically finished, and the film is apparently looking fantastic, with a running time of just under 85 minutes. "With a pumping soundtrack, amazing fight sequences, cool characters and stunning set pieces, this is a rollercoaster of a film that keeps the adrenalin going from start to finish." Well, I don't know about you, but that has certainly wetted my appetite!
Hetty Wainthropp Investigates is doing the rounds on UK Gold again this week. Check out UK Gold tonight and also weekdays at 12pm.
There was a Film Society of Lincoln Centre special screening of the LOTR Trilogy in NYC yesterday. Dom wasn't in attendance (Elijah and Sean were), but PJ (via satellite from New Zealand) happened to mention that there would be lots more Merry and Eowyn on the ROTK EE (which PJ is currently working on).
Dom was on Jack Osbourne's show, Union Jack, on Channel 4 (UK) this morning (thanks Linz!). I didn't see it myself but Linz says Dom and Jack were turtle racing and Dom won both races!
ROTK won 4 awards at the 2003 Critic's Choice Awards in the following categories: Best Picture, Best Director, Best Acting Ensemble, and Best Composer. Billy was the only cast member in attendance.

Check out TORN's scan of Rolling Stone's Pandemoniuminamerica article, Hobbit Rock and Roll, here. Scandalously, the article doesn't actually mention Dominic and Elijah gets all the credit for the chipmunk voices (!), but it does contain a nice picture.
Discover how a pesky Uruk-Hai resulted in Dominic losing his trousers, in this Celebrity Close-Ups interview with Dominic from early December.
In what is a natural transition (hobbit to royalty), Dominic will be one of the Celebrity Monarchs in the Krewe of Orpheus Mardi Gras parade next month, whilst Elijah will be King of the Bacchus; I wonder who will have the bestest crown.

I'm sorry the forum is down at the moment, folks. This is due to circumstances beyond my control (famous last words those). My host upgraded their servers yesterday and this has caused parse errors with PHP (a script thingie), which they are endeavouring to rectify.
Meanwhile, Fabienne kindly sent me a link to this web site (looks like an events/bodyguard promotion type site), which has a few pictures of Dominic from 2001 (scroll about three quarters of the way down the page for three pictures of Dom).
3rd January 2004
There was article about Dom and Billy in a recent issue of Time Out New York magazine. There's a transcript of the article here, which was originally typed up by luleh.
2nd January 2004
Happy New Year folks! It's probably going to take me half of the year to get used to typing 2004.
There's a status report on The Purifiers in the current issue of Empire magazine (UK):
Thought that we Brits can't do cult action movies? Well, film critic-turned-director Richard Jobson is determined to prove you wrong with his follow-up to March's 16 Years of Alcohol. "It's called The Purifiers, and it's a B-movie action film, a homage to John Carpenter's Assault On Precinct 13 and Walter Hill's The Warriors. It's about gangs and it's set slightly in the future," says Jobson. "We didn't have the kind of money that The Matrix had to do all the wirework so I needed people who could do it. I got athletes from all over the world, and a lot of world champions. It's a rock and roll film." And with Working Title picking it up, the signs are good...
I added one new affiliate site today. Check out Follow the White Rabbit, a new Keanu Reeves fan site
Meri over at Champagne Blue kindly awarded NOITIIMT Site of the Moment status! I even get a special award. Thanks again Meri.
