Special Flight Rules
Most of these are the same as my normal flight rules but there are some additions and changes so please read them thoroughly.
1. Your dragon must be an adult with the adult picture uploaded. Hatchlings and Weyrlings are much too young to even consider flying an option.
2. The dragon MUST have rare genetic background! I will not be accepting every male or female that applies. They must have verifiable genetic heritage and be highly likely to pass on that genetic heritage to most (if not all) of their offspring.
3. Females should sign up to rise at only one weyr at a time and the same applies for males. Males should sign up to chase in only one flight.
4. Females must wait at least two weeks after her clutch has hatched to sign up to rise again. Males who do not catch the female may sign up immediately, males who do catch the female may sign up again as soon as the clutch has hatched. (This excludes Weyrleader flights should there be any.)
5. The female's rider MUST write the flight story. I need the flight story to determine how many eggs will be laid on the sands. If you don't write the flight story your female never rises to mate. I will give you a deadline when your flight becomes full. Hatching stories can be done by anyone, the female, the male, or me if you'd prefer.
6. All dragons who wish to rise or chase MUST have a story about coming here and applying. When you and your dragon arrive you will have an interview with a young man, Deriam, who has a very odd sense of humor. He will ask you questions about your dragon's genetics, all the while making notes on a clipboard. He never shows you the clipboard, (though if you want your character to sneak a peek at it e-mail me and I'll let you know some of what he's writing...) but you may assume that he's filling out an application form on you and your dragon. After the interview you will find a temporary weyr in the Special Clutch area. This is a completely seperate part of the weyr, it can't even be seen from Tripaldi so don't have your dragon and rider running into any of my Weyrfolk. The only person you might run into is me and I'm always in a hurry! ;o)
7. Do not assume you are accepted until you have heard back from me on your application. You should update your page after you have been accepted to say so. In your story, Deriam should be the one informing you of your acceptance. If you wish you can have his blue fire lizard, Kilo, come to you with a note or Deriam may come to you himself. But if you assume you are accepted before applying your application will be deleted and I will tell you to revise your story and apply again later.
8. Female applicants-I ask that you include a list of special requirements for your chasers. If you do not include any special requirements Deriam or myself will add some, and in some cases you may not like our requirements. Deriam especially will be searching for certain genetics in the chasers to ensure very rare genetics and if your dragon has a favorite (and you don't let me know that, assuming he'll be accepted) he may be excluded from the flight based on these requirements.

I know some of these rules seem very tough, but I'm just trying to keep some order in this. These are Special Clutches so I need to have a great deal of control over the dragons brought in and if the rider doesn't follow the rules exactly then they will need to be eliminated from the competition.
