* Recruitment Details
Previously the '2nd Ranger Battalion' and then 'The Long Range Paratroop Battalion', then finally the '82nd Airborne Division' the last chapter of this clan was and is known as "The 2nd Airborne Anzacs". was established on the 20th of November, 2001, although under a different name....Although, there has never been any record of a "2nd Airborne Anzacs" in any army, the 2nd, is dedicated to those Australian & New Zealand soldiers that fought and died on the battlefields of the 2 World Wars.
Despite the long list of clan names, the 2nd has always been a squad for 'Medal Of Honor: Allied Assault', and, unofficially, a squad for a handful of other war games.

Like other REAL Airborne divisions, the 2nd only tolerates the best soldiers, and the best behaviours and attitudes towards the game and other players of the game, when recruiting we will only accept mature members willing to commit time and effort towards the squad and its members, and of course the fun of virtual battle.

Members of the 2nd Anzacs squad pay tribute to those of the Australian & New Zealand Divisions, and any other division that fell gloriously on the battlefield and in the air during WWII, and those that witnessed the horrors of the war. God bless you all, and may you not be forgotten.

This past week, has been a sad week, with many tough decisions too make. Most of which, had to be made, and were well chosen decisions. I myself, had to make a very tough decision, to let go of the American/Canadian members of the clan. I am very sorry for their depature, and wish them well.

The 82nd Airborne, is no longer our name. We shall now be known as - "The 2nd Airborne Anzacs".  We are the first and ONLY Airborne clan strickly for Australian & new Zealand residents. We will take this honor, and share it among all of the ANZAC, MOHAA players that wish to be enlisted in our wonderful clan.

This site has had a major update since the newest step in our clan cycle. Banners, sigs, text etc. Had to be changed, and now look great. Thanks to those that
helped out.

That is all.

Merry Christmas! And a Happy New Year to EVERYONE!
It has been indeed a while since i last updated, this has been a bad habit for me lately. But, i have been busy, at this very busy time of the year!

If you have been reading the message boards, you'd have noticed that the 82nd has formed a formal Alliance with the 101st. It shall be known as the 'Airborne Alliance'. Me and Shroom of the 101st will run it together. Everything will still be the same as usual, except that we have strong bonds with another clan. It is just for fun, and nothing is changing, we are still the good ol' 82nd Airborne Division, and we always will be :)

I will have AA sigs ready for you guys soon, wear them with pride. They won't be personalised, just a general banner for everyone who is apart of the AA.

I have recently aquired a job at mohmatch.com as Tactical Expert, and i have written 2 articles so far, go and check them out, tell me what you think. Along with the new job came some forums. Yes! We have new forums at MohMatch.com. I have changed the links on the site as well, so, go and post!

We have another new member, BuD, he is apart of the ANZAC squad, (Squad Blue), and i will be sending a new recruit the North American squad's way as well.

Now, i know you are all waiting and keen, for me to set up squad matches, but as of yet, nothing has happened, as i am to busy...Expect a schedule early next month :)

82nd_Sharpshooter is now Lt. of Squad Red (The North American Squad). To most of you, he is higher ranking, so, treat him with the same respect as all your other C/O's. Not that i have EVER had a problem with disrespect from any of you. You are very loyal, trustworthy people, and i thank you for staying with the 82nd Airborne. Thank You all.

By the way, did you like the front page Image? Tell me what you think, on the Forums.....

That is all.

G'day! I have introduced 'Squads' These are unofficial as of now, but will be talked over with the squad. They are posted on the members page.

The long-awaited MOHAA MultiPlayer Demo is due to be released this Friday (which is saturday for the OZzies and kiwis), Our first game will hopefully get off on that weekend. I have added more rules(Sounds bad! It's not..)
and details about multiplayer sessions, check these over on the rules page. Some of them you might fancy.

I am looking into setting up an mIRC chat-network profile...Like the 3rdID this'll be used as a 24/7 chat session, created especially for 82nd members, others will be welcome! Download mIRC from
www.mirc.com
The download is quite small...1 or 2 MB. This will come in handy for After-Game Chat sessions! (Check the rules page for more info)

I have one of our new members Spud, working on the time-zone charts to find the most efficent time to play squad matches. If there are anytimes that you definitley cannot play, contact me or him, and give them to us, and we will work around them...

Howdy! It seems as though we have gained some more members, say hello to: Armstrong, who will take the rank of Sergeant, and Heyate, he'll take the rank of Private First Class.

I'm going to begin making updates on the message boards, so check it every now and then. Also, take down the ICQ# of your fellow members, and add them to your lists, get acquainted, these are your fellow paratroopers.

I'm going to be away for a week. Starting tomorrow, i'll be heading down to sandy bay, for some beach summer fun. I won't be back for about a week. I'm leaving Thayer in charge.....Do us proud Thayer.

I've also fixed the links on the Allies page. If you need an 82nd Airborne Division Icon, or something else for a sig, then contact me on ICQ, and i will send you one.
