A Message From the Webmaster

Hello Yankee fans and all baseball fans alike. How ya doin? I want to welcome each and every one of you to L.O.T.M. Yanks version 2. Some of you might be wondering to yourself, what happened to the original site? Well around August of 2003, for some reason, I lost my motivation to update it on a daily basis. It wasn't until February of 2004 that I decided I was going to resurrect it from the dead - that is why it is called version 2.

I did create the original site back on Christmas day of 1998. That night I had nothing better to do, so I decided to give myself an extra Christmas present - one I myself could create. Being that I had just taught myself HTML, and I had this dream of being a sports reporter, I thought I could create this Yankee fan site. The original site went through many changes, and this site will look somewhat different from what you were used to. It is not a flashy website like the elite media conglomerates, it is a simple website, however what I give you here each and every season and offseason is quality.

I was born in May of 1978, the very year the Yankees resurrected from the dead and overtook the American League East on the very last day of the season from the Boston Red Sox. They then went on to beat the Kansas City Royals in the A.L.C.S. and the L.A. Dodgers in the World Series. The day I was born, the Yankees were 11-9 and three games behind the Detroit Tigers for first in the East. The fact that I was born on the Upper West Side, combined with the fact that I was born in 1978 are the main factors for the reason I root for the Yankees, and not the Mets despite the fact that I live in Queens (and not too far from Shea.) I began following baseball in 1990. For those of you who do not remember, the Yankees finished 67-95 that season; dead last in the A.L. East - 21 games behind the Red Sox. If it wasn't for the Atlanta Braves, who finished 65-97 that same season, the Yankees would have been baseball's worst team. I have seen great teams (the 4 Championships) and I have seen bad teams (the early 1990's.) In any event, I still stood behind my Bombers, I still stand behind them today, and I will stand behind them until the day I die.

This website is updated on a daily basis during every regular season, however I do not cover spring training. Here you well get scores, the schedule, television and radio information, opinion pieces written by yours truly, and other pieces of information such as the Yankee roster, World Series history, retired numbers, and you can also get driving and subway directions to Yankee Stadium. I will give you my best everyday and every season. If you enjoy what you see here, tell your friends and tell them to tell their friends. I do not care if you're a Yankee fan or not, everybody who visits is like a guest in my home, and I am honored to have you here.

I do write opinion pieces here, and I do not beat around the bush nor do I sugarcoat anything. And let me inform you right now, just so that there are no misunderstandings - I do not give a damn if I offend anyone. I will write what I believe needs to be said, and if somebody doesn't like it, that's just too bad! You have the right to view or to not view this site. Nobody is forcing you to see this website, if you do not like what you see here, then utilize your "back" button and leave. If you are a Yankee hater and I have offended you, then I have done my job. Honestly, what makes you think I care what some piece of trash known as a Yankee hater thinks about my site?

As I have said before, I give you my all and my best. If you like what you see here, tell your friends and let me know what you think. You can e-mail me your comments - but remember, I will post any hate mail, so e-mail me at your own risk. Also, please remember to take the L.O.T.M. Yanks survey. I hope you enjoy your visit to L.O.T.M. Yanks and I truly hope you will visit on a regular basis. Thank you.

LET'S GO YANKEES!
