Mras receives an ACOMMENDATION from
Governor Doyle.
The Wisconsin Family Childcare
Conference was held in Stevens Point May 6th
to the 8th. Jill Chase from the Dept. of Health & Human Services, and
the Governor’s Office, presented Sharon A. Mras with the Commendation
recognizing her for accomplishments and years as a Family Childcare
provider. Sharon has exhibited leadership in the Portage County Child Care
Association and is Vice-President on the Wisconsin Family Childcare
Executive Board representing Portage, Marquette and Waushara Counties.
Sharon has illustrated a belief that children’s futures depend on the
caring adults in their lives by her commitment for providing high-quality
child care experiences for the children in her care.
Ms. Mras has been involved in
helping to meet the needs of children and families at Sharon’s Care
Centre’, through her activities in her church, local Community Action
Programs, the Crisis Center and the Portage County Department of Health
and Human Services.
Her colleagues are recognizing
Sharon for her contributions to Family Childcare. Governor Doyle also
commended Sharon for her many years of dedicated service to the State of
Wisconsin and wished her all the best as she continues to make Wisconsin a
better and safer place for children and families. This Commendation was
signed and sealed by Governor Jim Doyle on May 3rd, 2004.
There are close to 10,000 Childcare
providers in the State of Wisconsin. Every year the Governor recognizes
only one childcare provider who stands out from the rest providing high
quality care and is nominated by their peers for their accomplishments in
the childcare field. Regulated providers, certified by the County or
Licensed by the State are recognized by the quality they provide.
Congratulations!
We are all so
very proud of our special angel.
