John George Kugler

209 11^th St., Bismarck N. Dakota., died Sunday morning at the Missouri Lutheran Home at the age of 89. Born at Wilmont, Minnesota, March 23, 1880, he was educated at Adrian, Minnesota, and came to North Dakota in 1901, settling on a homestead near Washburn. He married Laura Olson, November 24, 1907, at Washburn. He farmed in the community until coming to Bismarck in 1940. Before his retirement he was employed as custodian at the Bank of North Dakota. He leaves his wife; three sons, Joseph, Anthony and Bernard; and five daughters, Bertha Mitchell, Lillian Leeds, Mabel Nielson, July Prouty and Hazel Schaeffer. He also leaves a sister, Rose Roan, Alberta, Canada and a brother, Otto, Turtle Lake, and a number of grandchildren. Funeral services were set at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Rt. Rev Msgr. Robert A. Feehan officiating. Burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery. George died March 30, 1969.
