JOSEPH DUSEK DIES SUNDAY IN BLOOMING PRAIRIE.

 

Death Occurs at Home at the Age of 73 Years, 10 Months and 4 Days

Funeral Wednesday With Service at Catholic Church at 9 A.M.

Blooming Prairie, Jan 20 (death date in paper is wrong since paper was published Tuesday, January 21 and he died on Sunday which was the 19th)--Joseph Dusek died at this home in this village last Sunday evening. Mr. Dusek had been in poor health for some time. He was aged 73 years, 10 months and 4 days. He was born in Czechoslovakia, where he spent his boyhood days. He came to America in 1895 and settled in the Blooming Prairie community. He married Amelia Schubert, February 20, 1895. They settled on a farm in this part of Steele county. Since retiring from farming, Mr. Dusek and family came to Blooming Prairie and have since made their home there.

Mr. Dusek is survived by a son, Joseph of Faribault, four daughters; Mrs. William (Anna) Lund, Blooming Prairie; Mrs. John (Elsie) Skalisky, Blooming Prairie; Mrs. Joseph (Mary) Moch, Faribault and Mrs. G. A. (Marcella) Leffler, Owatonna. He is also survived by 12 grand children and two great grand children.

The funeral will be held Wednesday with a service at St. Columbanus Church in Blooming Prairie in the morning at 9 o'clock. Rev. Father J. V. Donovan will officiate. The interment will be made in the Bohemian National cemetery in Summit township.
