OLAF BERNARD ODEGAARD RITES OCTOBER 29

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, October 29, 1968 at Our Lady of the Angels Church for Ole B. Odegaard, 65. Rev. Paul Schmelzer and Monsignor Lorsung officiating. Interment was in Calvary Cemetery.

Pallbearers were John Bentfield, Norbert Bentfield, Bill Unger, Norbert Otte, Paul Bentfield, and Bill Kane. Cross bearer was the oldest grandson, Dewayne Massman.

Mr. Odegard passed away Saturday, October 26, 1968, at St. Michael's Hospital. Death was due to Acute Mylogenous Leukemia.

The son of Mathias and Lina Odegaard, he was born September 15, 1903 in Stange, Norway. On April 24, 1929, he was united in marriage to Rose Dusek at Sauk Centre. They farmed in the Sauk Centre area until 1965. He was employed at the Unger Furniture Store until the time of his illness. He was a member of Knights of Columbus and St. Joseph Society.

Surviving are his widow, Rose, and the following children: Mrs. Erwin (Bernice) Massmann of Sauk Centre; Mrs. Eddy (Betty) VonWahlde of West Union; Victor of Sauk Centre; Mrs. Harold (Rosalind) Whitmore of St. Paul Park and Norbert of Sauk Centre. There are 19 grandchildren. Also surviving is a sister, Laura Haase of Clear Lake, IA. He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.

Out of town relatives and friends attending were from West Union, Carlton, St. Paul Park, Clear Lake, and Osage, Iowa; Carlos, Little Sauk and Westport.
