Peter J. Finken, 82, died Sunday at his home.

Funeral services will be at 11 A.M. Wednesday at St. Paul's Catholic Church. The Rev. Tim Wenzel will officiate. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Friends may call after 5 P.M. Tuesday at Patton-Schad Funeral Home. Christian Mothers will pray at 7:30 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home in Sauk Centre followed by parish prayers at 8.

Peter Finken was born March 18, 1913, in Holdingford to Frank and Frances (Mauder) Finken. He married Elizabeth Dusek Oct. 26, 1937, in Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church. The couple lived in Sauk Centre, where he worked for Steiner Lumber Co. and then Swift and Co. until his department closed. He then was employed by Sauk Centre Public Schools as a custodian, retiring at age 66. He then was employed as a custodian for HEI Inc. in Sauk Centre for seven years. He was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church.

Survivors include son and daughter, Elmer, Montgomery; Dorothy Heimerl, Maplewood; sisters and brother, Veronica Feldewerd, Ceil Hedglin, Lidvina Vener, Dorothy Hoeschen and Richard, Sauk Centre; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, John and Philip; and sisters, Teckla Erie, Dina Ostendorf, Minnie Hollenkamp and Rose Pfieffer.

Pallbearers will be Dave Grupa, Steve Heimerl, Bob Peterfeso, Don Vener, and Dan and Richard Finken.
