V.I. 'Monie" Kubalsky 65, Escondido, Calif., formerly of Owatonna, died Friday, June 3, at Metropolitan Medical Center, Minneapolis. Arrangements are pending with Michaelson Funeral Home.

V.I. "Monie" Kubalsky, Escondido, Calif., formerly of Owatonna, died Friday, June 3, at Metropolitan Medical Center, Minneapolis.

Mr. Kubalsky, was born August 19, 1922 in Buffalo. On Sept. 19, 1943 he married Margaret Skalicky in Owatonna. He worked for the Owatonna Tool Co. for 40 years before retiring in 1982.

He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church before moving to California.

He is survived by his mother, Linda Kubalsky, Owatonna; three brothers, Arnold, Cresco, Iowa; Edgar, Medford; Charles, Mound; one sister, Mrs. Ervin (Fern) Fruehling, Cedar Rapids, Iowa and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife in 1979 and by his father.

The funeral will be held at 1:30 P.M. Monday, June 6, at St. John's Lutheran Church with the Rev. R. Rudolf officiating. Visitation will be at the church one hour before the service. Burial will be at Forest Hill Cemetery. Michaelson Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
