VICTORIA: Welcome back to London for our final event - 'Video Password'. This should be an exciting event for everyone. Regis is going to explain the event in detail.
REGIS: Thanks Victoria. Each team will have 6 hours to plan, film and edit a 10 minute video short that will feature the team members in various shoes by Stuart Weitzman. Each team will be given the same 7 passwords which will have to be integrated, but not necessarily spoken, in the video. The passwords are: (Loss, Bridge, Car, Stuck, Elevator, Grate, and Roof). Again, Bert and Nigel P will be filming the event for each team and helping with the editing.
VICTORIA: The team celebrities will now describe the shoes their team is wearing for the event.
SARAH J: Here is the lineup for Team Manolo: Karen is wearing a 'Liaison' mule; Missy is wearing a 'Makeabuck' mule; Lisa is wearing a 'Fever' pump; Maria is wearing a 'Montoya' slide; Caroline is wearing a 'Curlique' slingback
DREW: Here is the lineup for the Team Choo: Jennifer is wearing a 'Taekwondo' mule; Trisha is wearing a 'Wayside' mule; Nikki is wearing a 'Temtress' pump; Susan is wearing a 'Skylark' slide; Shelley is wearing a 'Delphina' slingback
VICTORIA: Before we show you the two videos, here is a montage of clips from both groups filming their videos. One last time, I want to thank Nigel P. and Bert for being our photographers, (For 3 minutes show clips of the two teams filming their videos.) That looked like a lot of fun. we'll be back after this commercial break.
(Commercial Break)
VICTORIA: Sarah Jessica, thanks so much for shadowing and working with Team Manolo these last few weeks. Please narrate their video.
SARAH JESSICA: Love to, Victoria. Team Manolo has entitled their video 'Superstition.' It begins when Karen invites the other girls on her team to lunch on Friday the 13th which also happens to be a full moon. The video picks up showing each team member making their way to meet Karen for lunch. It has a familiar ‘Sex in the City’ feel to it doesn't it?
[The video shows Lisa walking down the street and suddenly a black cat darts out in front of her. Her feet wobble as she sops then restarts her walk down the street. She returns to normal with a shrug of her shoulders. Next, Maria is shown walking down a walkway in an indoor shopping center. There is a painter on a ladder working on a sign above a restaurant. The sidewalk is crowded so she chooses to dash under the ladder and emerge on the other side. She looks over her shoulder to make sure no paint dropped on her cute new outfit. While Caroline walks up the stairs from an Underground station, she pulls a hand-held mirror out of her purse to check for food stuck between her teeth. She trips slightly as she reaches the top and her mirror falls down and breaks. Missy is shown walking down a street and into a shop. She looks at her watch - camera zooms in on watch and the date is on 13 - to see that she is running early and has a few moments. There is a display of colorful umbrellas - camera shows a sign saying the sale is good on Friday only. She looks at them, chooses one and opens it over herself and walks around like the famous scene in the musical song Dancin' in the Rain. At the cafe, Karen is shown arriving and getting a sidewalk table. She looks at her watch and realizes she is a little early. The camera returns to Lisa who is walking with a fast stride until her 4" red high heel pump gets left behind. With her low toe cleavage it does not take much for Lisa to come out her shoe she supposed. However, she looks back and realizes the shoe is stuck in a grate. Cursing under her breath then out loud she tugs at the shoe and it is really stuck. Mikeey is shown walking in her direction.]
MIKEEY: You need some help there?
LISA: Yes, please. My heel is stuck and I can't seem to get it out.
[Mikeey pulls and pulls and unfortunately he pulls the shoe off leaving the heel attached securely in the grate.]
MIKEEY: I'm terribly sorry.
LISA: It's not your fault. You tried your best.
[Lisa takes the shoe and continues one shod toward the cafe carrying the other shoe in her left hand. Maria is shown in the same shopping center getting on an elevator. As she boards, one of her 2.5 inch slides with an X-strap bearing gold dots get stuck in the door. As she tugs on the shoe with her foot it finally comes loose and Maria falls forward. However her shoe goes backwards and Maria does not have the opportunity to retrieve the shoe before the elevator descends. Maria goes back up the elevator to get her shoe but it is nowhere to be found. Caroline is shown continuing down the sidewalk in her vintage-looking red peep toe slingbacks with a 3-inch heel and a bow adornment on the vamp. Suddenly, as she crosses the street she trips up the curb and one of her shoes goes down the storm drain. One shod, she stoops to look inside the drain and the shoe has fallen too far away to be recovered. Missy is shown crossing a bridge over the River Thames in her tan leather low-heeled mules. After apparently getting a pebble in her shoe, she stops to take off her shoe and remove the pebble. As she moves to put the shoe back on, she drops the shoe and it falls through a crack in the railing into the river. Karen is shown at he cafe again looking at her watch again and looking a bit more anxious.
KAREN: (Sees Lisa coming toward her one shod and lopsided) What happened to you?
LISA: My heel broke off in a crack in the sidewalk. Someone tried to help me but when he pulled the shoe came off (shows it to Karen) but the heel stayed.
KAREN: There's a shoe repair shop down the street, we'll stop by there after brunch.
LISA: (Sees Maria coming toward her one shod and also lopsided) What happened to you?
MARIA: I was getting on the elevator to leave the shopping center and my shoe got stuck in the gap. When I pulled it out I went inside the elevator and the shoe stayed out. The elevator descended. When I returned it was gone.
KAREN: Maybe we can get you a replacement pair after going by the shoe repair shop for Lisa.
LISA: (Maria looks at Lisa's red pump with a missing heel on the table) I got it stuck in a grate in the sidewalk.
MARIA: (Sees Caroline coming toward her one shod and also lopsided) What happened to you?
I can't believe three of us had a shoe mishap coming over here. (Caroline looks at Lisa's heelless shoe and Maria's bare foot.)
CAROLINE: I was trying to get across the street and my other shoe slipped off and far into a storm drain at the curb. What happened to the two of you? (Lisa and Maria repeated their stories then she sees Missy also walking over wearing one shoe.) Impossible! What happened to your shoe, Missy?
MISSY: I was getting a pebble out of my shoe while crossing the river and it just slipped out of my hand and fell in. (pause) Hey, why are he rest of you missing a shoe? (All told their stories.)
KAREN: I feel out of place. I'm the only one of the 5 of us with two working shoes.
MISSY: I knew I shouldn't have opened that umbrella inside the store.
KAREN: What are you talking about?
MISSY: I was inside a boutique and they had these neat-looking umbrellas on display and on sale and I opened one up to look at it.
KAREN: Rubbish! That superstition stuff is nonsense.
CAROLINE: You know, I broke the little mirror I carry in my purse coming up from the Underground.
MARIA: Come to think of it, I walked under a ladder.
LISA: Believe it or not, I almost tripped over a black cat.
(Mikeey playing the waiter comes to the table to take their orders.)
KAREN: This superstition stuff is a farce. What do you think? (Addressing the waiter)?
DROPPEDIT: I carry around this rabbit's foot in my pocket and I have a pressed 4-leaf clover in my wallet.
KAREN: You're joking, right?
DROPPEDIT: No, and did you see that huge full moon last night. Crazy things seem to happen around full moons.
MISSY: Not to mention, it's Friday the 13th.
[The ladies continue their brunch - Karen knocks open the salt shaker during their meal but does not toss any over her shoulder - and later they leave to make stops to repair Lisa's shoe and get some new shoes for the others. After everyone else has gone home, Karen goes up to the top of the parking deck to retrieve her car. As she hurries to her car in her dark brown tassel loafer mules, Jay driving another car comes too close and too fast and Karen leaps to the side to avoid being hit. While doing so, she kicks off one shoe and it goes over the edge and lands on the roof of the building next door. The video ends with Karen looking disgusted as she peers down at her shoe on the roof.]
VICTORIA: Sarah Jessica, fantastic narration. Team Manolo, great video! I caught all seven passwords illustrated or spoken at least once. We'll see Team Choo's video after the commercial break.
(Commercial Break)
VICTORIA: Drew, thanks so much for shadowing and working with Team Choo these last several weeks. Please narrate their video.
DREW: Sure thing. Team Choo's video is entitled "The Shoe Snatcher." The Video explains itself. NIGEL C: Nikki is shown here enjoying the nice weather as she pauses crossing the River Thames. [Camera zooms in on her fervent shoe play. One shoe has fallen a few inches away.] Soon, her day is ruined. [Camera shows a hand - camera zooms in on a ring on the pinky of his right hand with a snowflake design - snatching the loose 3-inch black pump.] Nikki feels around for her shoe then panics as she look around to see her shoe is gone. She sees a policeman (Bobby) walking towards her.
NIKKI: Officer, excuse me?
NM as Policeman: Can I help you miss?
NIKKI: Someone stole my shoe. I was standing here looking over the bridge and someone took my shoe.
NM: Did they grab your ankle and physically assault you?
NIKKI: No, I was playing with my shoe and it had come off.
NM: Are you sure you didn't kick it away or something?
NIKKI: Yes, I looked all around.
NM: Okay, I'll fill out a report and turn it into my precinct.
NIGEL C: NM fills out the report and Nikki continues on her walk across the bridge one shod.
DREW: Coming up we have another tantalizing scene with the shoe snatcher.
NIGEL C: Shelley is a tourist taking photos outside Buckingham Palace. [Her shoe is shown getting caught in grate. A man is shown walking towards her.]
SNOWMAN: Having a bit of trouble I see. May I?
NIGEL C: Normally, Shelley might be hesitant to accept help from a stranger, but this nice young man looked innocent enough. [Shelley accepted his offer. Soon, Snowman was tugging at her shoe, a colorful slingback with three straps bearing black polka dots and peach colored flowers. The camera zooms in on his hand with the snowflake ring.]
SNOWMAN: Why don't you step out of your shoe? [he tugs a bit more then pauses.] This is really stuck, why don't you go over to that hardware store across the street and ask for a 3/4 inch nickel-tipped crowbar?
SHELLEY: [Hesitates] Okay...right over there? [Pointing in general direction.]
SNOWMAN: Yes..I'll keep trying form here.
SHELLEY: [Shelley limps across the street and finds that the hardware store is no longer in business. She turns around and the man and her shoe are both gone. Shelley frantically jobs lopsided looking for the man and her shoe but instead she finds a policeman.] Can you help me?
NM as Policeman: How can I be of assistance.
SHELLEY: I got my other shoe stuck in this grate and a man came by to help me. He told me to go across the street and get him a crowbar but there was no store there. When I returned he was gone with my shoe.
NM: Are you sure he took your shoe and didn't just leave.
SHELLEY: I don't see how. What can you do to help me?
NM: Okay, I'll fill out a report and turn it into my precinct.
NIGEL C: NM fills out the report and Shelley continues on her tour one shod.
DREW: The Shoe Snatcher has more victims in his plans.
NIGEL C: Susan is waiting for an UP elevator at the Canary Wharf Tower. {Camera shows Susan engaged in shoe play and one of her 2-inch pink slides with a clear vamp adorned with colorful flowers comes completely off. A hand with the snowflake ring is shown close-up grabbing the shoe and then dashing quickly onto a DOWN elevator. Before Susan realizes what has happened, the elevator has descended. Susan runs one shod down the stairs to the ground floor and looks all around for the shoe swiper to no avail. She sees a policeman outside and limps in his direction.
SUSAN: Can you help me? Someone swiped my other shoe while I was getting on the elevator.
NM as Policeman: I'll do what I can. Did you get a look at the person or have any idea who did it?
SUSAN: No.
NM: The best I can do is fill our a report and turn it into my precinct.
SUSAN: I appreciate your help, sir.
NIGEL C: Susan continued back upstairs on the elevator and proceeded to take care of her daily business in one shoe.
DREW: Nigel C gets to be on the other side of the camera for a change.
[Nigel C and Jennifer are on a date and are sitting in the cafe courtyard next to the sidewalk. Jennifer has crossed one leg over the other and begun to dangle one of her dark brown loafer mules with a tassel. Her shoe is very close to the edge of the railing separating the courtyard from the sidewalk. A hand wearing a snowflake ring is shown grabbing her shoe off her foot.]
JENNIFER: Hey, that guy took my shoe! Jennifer and Nigel C stand but are prevented from chasing the thief by the railing. Snowman quickly turns a corner and slips away undetected. He flips the shoe up onto the roof of a bus stop and continues on his merry way. A policeman comes by.] Excuse me, officer?
NM as Policeman: Can I help you?
JENNIFER: Yes, hurry, a man just stole my shoe. He turned the corner.
NM: I'll see what I can do. [NM runs and turns the corner and then is never seen by Jennifer again, nor does Jennifer ever find her shoe.]
DREW: A few minutes later, NM has shed his policeman's uniform and is seen in a small neighborhood pub with Snowman.
NM: Here you go Snowman, right where you left it. [NM discreetly hands Snowman the shoe he had just flung onto the bus stop roof.]
SNOWMAN: That's four in one day - some sort of a record.
NM: How many is that all together now?
SNOWMAN: This makes the total now 38. There's starting to be some press coverage of ladies having their shoes stolen around London. They call me the 'Shoe Snatcher."
NM: Ooooh, how creative. [NM and Snowman laugh.]
SNOWMAN: I promised you a favor in return. Are you ready to try tomorrow?
NM: Sounds good. Trisha has the day off and I told her we'd relax, go on a picnic and walk around Regent's Park.
SNOWMAN: I'll be ready. I'll be the jogger with the dark green sweat pants and camouflage t-shirt
DREW: NM met Trisha at her flat and they walked to Regent's Park. Trisha had prepared a picnic lunch for the two of them. NM had brought along a blanket and a Frisbee. [Camera focuses in on Trisha slapping around in her low-heeled black nubuck slides with a silver buckle.]
[NM and Trisha are shown eating their lunch. At some point Trisha sheds her sandals and discards them tot he side. Snowman jogs by but sees no opportunity to snatch one.]
NM: So Trisha, you wanna toss the Frisbee?
TRISHA: Sounds good!
NIGEL C: NM and Trisha toss the Frisbee for several minutes. NM tries to gradually guide Trisha away and out of sight of their picnic area and her shoes. Snowman jogs by a couple more times to no avail.
TRISHA: We have some stale bread I brought, wanna feed the ducks?
NM: Good idea! I'll get the bread.
TRISHA: [Jogging past NM] Never mind, I'l get it - I need my shoes.
NM: [camera shows NM sighing over his plan being thwarted yet again.] I think I saw a gaggle of geese over there. (pointing).
NIGEL C: NM tried to coax Trisha to lose a shoe while trying to get in position to feed the ducks. Again, his plan failed. [Snowman jogs by again. Nigel C tries to think of an alternate plan.] 'If I could only get her running,' he thinks [self narration while camera is fixated on his head. Noticing a bit of green algae on the surface of the pond near the edge, he reaches down with his hand and grabs some and pretends he's going to rub it on Trisha's hair.]
TRISHA: Noooo! [Trisha begins to run away. NM chases her. The chase goes on a minute or so. Suddenly, one of her shoes flies off, but seeing this NM makes his pursuit even greater. Soon they are a good distance away from where her shoe loss occurred. Snowman is shown grabbing the shoe - the camera does a close-up of the snowflake ring.
NM: Okay, you win [NM sees Snowman jogging away.]
TRISHA: Let's go get my shoe. [Trisha leads NM back to where she lost her shoe. She looks all around but does not see it.] I'm pretty sure it was around here.
NIGEL C: NM tries to cast doubt.
NM: Maybe it was over there a little further. [NM and Trisha search for another little while.]
TRISHA: Okay, I give up! Let's leave. If it weren't for you chasing me this wouldn't have happened.
NM: I'm very sorry, Trisha. I'll be happy to pay for a replacement.
TRISHA: That's okay. I'm sort of getting used to walking in one shoe. {Camera shows them leaving the park with Trisha still missing one shoe.]
