Trisha’s best friend is Amber Dawson, her best friend from back home and in the sorority with her; Jeannie Lorentz is a no-nonsense friend from her sorority at UGA who is from New York state, Shelley Sullivan is another sorority sister who is a very pretty Varsity Cheerleader from Orlando. She could be called a friend but is secretly jealous of Trisha. Kelli Caldwell is another friend from high school who is a teller at Wachovia Bank and a part time student at Georgia State.
She has several prospects and several guys she dates on occasion. Chuck Chandler is her high school sweetheart attending Georgia Tech who she tries to renew her friendship with. Jay Williams is a student at UGA she met at a fraternity party with whom she develops a strong friendship. Tim Harrison is a senior at UGA and is the director of her Sunday School class. Don Smith is the Loan Officer at her branch of Wachovia Bank.
Trisha is a pretty (but not glamorous) brunette with shoulder length hair (sometimes dressed up in ribbons or bows). She is of medium build. Her personality could best be described as carefree and casual, friendly but shy when embarrassed, slightly ditzy and clumsy. Her main “vice” is her love for shoes. Trisha has dozens of pairs - many of them backless, she loves to play with them - dipping/dangling, etc., has trouble keeping them on sometimes. These stories are primarily concerned with her “vice,” and how she deals with the problems it causes.
Starting with Story 45, the scene shifts to Columbia, South Carolina where Trisha begins her work/study masters degree program with Wachovia Bank and the University of South Carolina. For the first year, she rooms with Shelley Sullivan who worked there as a Sports Reporter and Anchor for the Fox affiliate there. Her best friend from work is Joanna Blake with whom she moves in with after Shelley moves to Charlotte, North Carolina in August 2003. About the same time, Jay Williams graduated from UGA and begins Law School also at the University of South Carolina. The stories focus shifts to Trisha and Jay dating and Trisha's job and her new friends there.
Near the end of the series both Shelley and Trisha get jobs ni Charlotte, North Carolina and the distance again causes a strain in Trisha's relationship with Jay.
Disclaimer: Trisha and all others named in the story are completely fictional and any resemblance to persons dead or alive is coincidental. In addition, the selection of Athens and Atlanta Georgia is random and real businesses (such as Wachovia Bank and WAGA-TV) or locations in those two cities as well as all other cities that Trisha visits are used to give the stories an element of realism. Also, the use of Alpha Omicron Pi, Beta Theta Pi and any other specific fraternity or sorority is also a random choice and used again to give the stories an element of realism.
