We got Rocket in October of 1994. Before Austin was even thought of. We brought Rocket home and he has been a part of our family ever since. We almost lost him twice. Once in a flood that took our home and most of our belongings, and then again when he had health problems, that a kindly veterinarian in Salem,  saved his life. In the above picture, is Austin at 2 weeks old. Rocket used to lay next to him like this every single day. As a protector I believe. Rocket was with Austin on his first day of pre school at the age of three, which is the picture you see with Austin and Rocket sitting in the chair. Rocket was always so good to the boys. He never bit or growled or tried to hurt them. He and Austin were the best of buddies.  Austin and Rocket grew up together, and learned about the world together. Rocket will never be forgotten, and will always be in our hearts. Rest in peace now Rocket, and know that we think of you every day.
