Candice Michelle
To
those that don't know her, Candice Michelle is one of the many new girls to
have appeared on WWE television in the last couple of months. She was a finalist
in the RAW Diva Search, and although she may not have been the winner, that
didn't stop WWE offering her a contract.
Regardless of whether her signing was right, considering the recent release of wrestling Divas such as Gail Kim, Nidia and Jazz, Candice is certainly one of the more beautiful women to have appeared out of WWE's latest farcical talent contest.
She made her first post Diva Search appearance as a make-up artist on an edition of RAW. Since then, she has become a staple part of RAW programming. Her dress-sense has at times faltered, for instance, her attire for the Diva Search lingerie show looked plain, but despite this she is obviously attractive. Some members of internet discussion boards have branded her the next 'Major Gunns', and there is no denying she has a lot to offer up front. But there is a lot more to Candice than meets the eye.
Candice
has also made a name for herself outside of the WWE. Before joining she was
a fitness model (like Trish Stratus and Torrie Wilson) and also had cameo roles
in several films, Ben Stiller's Dodgeball and Vin Diesel's Diablo. But her recent
appearance in an advert aired during the Superbowl, has really sparked interest
in her.
Candice played the part of a spokesmodel for GoDaddy.com, a domain name registration service. The advert involved her putting forward her idea for an advert for the company, to a panel of judges. As expected in an advert with a beautiful lady, and in a nod to Janet Jackson's memorable 'wardrobe malfunction' at last year's Superbowl, Candice's top inexplicably began to fall apart. We didn't see much, but it certainly made wrestling fans sit up and take note.
Candice's time at the WWE will be by no means indefinite. There have been rumours of some of the female Divas already on the roster, showing some annoyance at the hiring of glorified valets, and some of the new girls have also received the unwanted attention of some of the more bold male superstars. However, I hope Candice will stay awhile and will show an interest in more than just cheap T & A gimmicks. I enjoy them as much as the next man, but I don't feel they should be the sole basis of a WWE contract. So here's hoping for a chance to see more of the beautiful Candice in the future!
