Trish's WWE Opponents

Just about all of the women that Trish is likely to face in serious competition are stronger than her. Most of her opponents have displayed the ability to lift 120 pounds plus on numerous occasions, yet Trish has never displayed such a feat of strength. Which would be made all the more incredible as she is of a similar weight. This does put her at an immediate disadvantage, but she has developed a wrestling style that compensates for this and allows her to kick arse despite this. In this section I intend to look at Trish's main opponents and detail just how much of a threat they are to her. I have used a simple ranking system to illustrate how each of them compares to each other.

Candice Michelle:

Aggression: When you think of physically intensive, aggressive Divas, Candice is not the first woman to spring to mind. Although not yet a fully fledged wrestler, there is a possibility that she may still face Trish sometime soon in one form of match or other. There is no doubting though that Candice can be feisty when she wants to, and that there is a definite mean streak in her. Her recent double-team attack on Ashley with Torrie Wilson, are evidence of her ability to get rough. But still she's more likely to remain bitchy rather than physical.
Size: Candice is a similar height and build to Trish. Physically they may be similar sizes, but Candice by no means has the same physique as Trish. Both ladies could easily push the other around, but the difference is Trish can wrestle and do more damage, whilst Candice can currently only shove and slap.
Power: Candice is not built to be powerful, and Trish would easily be able to throw her around. However, Candice's size would prevent Trish from literally treating her like a ragdoll. Unless Candice where to start working out, she would always lose out to Trish in terms of strength.
Style: Odds are in a match between Candice and Trish, Candice would try and turn the thing into a cat-fight. Not being a wrestler, she would try and keep things on her level with slaps and hair-pulling. If she allowed Trish to pull off a few wrestling moves, it would all be over very quickly.
Gimmick: Gimmick matches would be the only match type that Candice could ever stand a reasonable chance of winning. Bra and panties matches could be a likely battle ground as fans would love to see either Diva strip the other, but also it would reduce the odds of Trish being able to properly wrestle, and thus stand a greater chance of winning.
Overall: There is no doubting that Candice is an attractive woman, but currently she is not a wrestler. She may be able to mix things up in T & A matches, but other than that she poses little real threat to Trish. The only danger could come if Trish were to under-estimate her and fall foul to a surprise attack or pinfall.

Lita:

Aggression: Lita is hardly noted for her mean streak, but in her matches she does display a determination to beat her opponent. Lita will often take risks to achieve this goal, but certainly does not exhibit the kind of almost fanatical anger against her opponents that both Jazz and Molly are renowned for.
Size:
Lita is slightly taller than Trish standing at 5'7", and also slightly heavier built weighing in at 135lbs. Lita rarely uses her height to intimidate and her slight weight advantage never seems to cause Trish too much trouble. However, Lita very definitely makes her presence in the ring known, and Trish does well to respect this fact when it comes to her attempts to prevail against her.
Power:
Lita is by no means the strongest woman in the division, and neither is she a push-over. Lita favours speedier, technical moves and thus her physical strength is rarely used. However, in previous confrontations her power has helped her to dig deep and pull out the win. Her DDT finisher is also made all the more effective by Lita's obvious strength.
Style:
Fast-paced and erratic are probably the best way to describe Lita's fighting style. She prefers speedy and high-flying, high-risk moves, and tends to shy away from the more physical moves as well as submission ones. Her daring nature can sometimes backfire however leaving her vulnerable to a swift counter-attack.
Gimmick: Lita has certainly proved her potential in gimmick matches, taking on Trish in whipping matches and now famous bra and panties matches. Lita is an attractive woman, with the right combination of looks and a well looked-after body. But recently, Lita has been replaced by the blonde Divas in gimmick matches, and I eagerly await what the future will hold in store for her.
Overall: Lita is very definitely an attractive and skilled adversary. Trish needs to be wary of Lita's speed and willingness to take high-risks, with the potential of gaining big rewards. Keeping Lita firmly on two feet should be a main concern of Trish's, as if she allows herself to fall foul of her Moonsault, then invariably the match result is a foregone conclusion.

Stacy Keibler:

Aggression: To look at Stacy you'd think she was sweet and innocent. This impression of her proves true in her wrestling as well. Although Stacy longs to beat the likes of Trish, she does not have the kind of animal instinct needed to be able to launch a vicious and effective attack.
Size: Stacy is the tallest Diva around standing at an impressive 5'11", but also the slimmest. Surprisingly she weighs in at 135 lbs making her as heavy as Lita and thus a bit more of a challenge to throw around. Initially her height may be useful in intimidating Trish, but her slight figure detracts from this, making her seem more of a push-over.
Power: Stacy is never going to be a power-lifter. She can hold her own in the ring and deliver most moves with relative ease, but power moves are not her forte. Stacy's strength lies in her legs. They give her the ability to happily choke her opponent's at the turnbuckle with her foot or instead lift them clean off their feet when she mounts it and then chokes them. She also can deliver high kicks a lot easier than the other Divas can, which help to make up for her lack of physical strength.
Style: Stacy can hold her own in the ring and certainly looks more polished than Nidia. However, her repertoire is hardly mind-blowing and she needs to utilise her legs more, perhaps in submission moves to become a dangerous adversary.
Gimmick: Stacy was made for gimmick matches. A veritable veteran of these types of matches, her long legs and great looks make her the ideal opponent, and very definitely the greatest threat to Trish in this regard.
Overall: Stacy is a very attractive girl, who has the basic skills needed to take on Trish. Her strength lies in her legs and her mastery of gimmick matches, but she needs a lot more in-ring time before she becomes a true force to be reckoned with.

Torrie Wilson:

Aggression: Torrie, like Stacy, can be quite deceptive in this regard. Although she may look like another pretty face, she has proven in her past matches with Dawn Marie for instance, that it is more than possible for a rage to build inside of her, and for this to then to be reflected in her actions in the ring. Torrie is not obviously aggressive, but nonetheless should be treated with caution in a match.
Size: Torrie is taller than Trish by a couple of inches, and with her current very thin state may actually be lighter than her. The height difference could make applying some moves on Torrie slightly more problematic, but her relative lightness would compensate for this, allowing Trish to throw her around the ring with greater ease.
Power: Torrie has always been a Diva foremost, a wrestler second. As such she may have a toned physique, but she has nowhere near the strength of Trish. She can still throw her opponents around, but it's unlikely that we'll ever see her performing any power or submission moves on her opponents.
Style: Torrie's wrestling ability is very similar to Trish's early on in her wrestling career. Torrie has wrestled in the ring on numerous occasions, but is by no means a seasoned pro. Although marginally better than the likes of Christy Hemme and Stacy Keibler she is still more used to T & A matches. Trish and Torrie could have a decent wrestling match against each other, but it would never be considered a classic.
Gimmick: Torrie does well in gimmick matches. In fact she may be the single most successful Diva in this particular match type. She has competed in numerous bra and panties matches and similar variations, and often is victorious. This is one of the few times in which Torrie could give Trish a run for her money. Interestingly, Trish has never beaten Torrie in any of her matches against her, although all of them were gimmick matches.
Overall: Torrie is no stranger to the ring, but truth be told, she is more comfortable performing more Diva-style rolls. Trish and Torrie could have a number of decent matches between them, but odds are the emphasis will be more on T & A rather than wrestling ability. Theoretically Trish should be able to beat Torrie hands down, but Torrie is particularly savvy when it comes to gimmick matches, so Trish needs to remain on guard with her around.

Victoria:

Aggression: Victoria is certainly one of the most aggressive females in the WWE today. Her attacks are relentless and she seems to take great pleasure in delivering pain. Her manic disposition also helps to intimidate her opponents, and when combined with her obvious skill in the ring she is a formidable force.
Size:
Victoria is a good 6inches taller than Trish, and is noticeably better built too. She tips the scales at 150lbs and is also the heaviest Diva, making her a physical force to be reckoned with. She has more muscular arms and legs and without having a chest as large as Trish's to get in her way, she can utilise these to their full extent and be very intimidating. However she loses to Jazz in this aspect, as Jazz's constant 'in your face' attitude makes her far more intimidating.
Power:
On many occasions Victoria has lifted Trish clean off the floor and held her there for several seconds quite comfortably, before delivering a powerful move on her. She isn't quite as strong as Jazz either, but she is still strong enough to easily throw Trish around.
Style: Victoria has a very unique combination of powerful moves such as her Widow's Peak, and technical moves such as her swinging backbreaker. Although this is very effective in it's own right, she is beaten by Jazz and Molly whose attacks are far more concentrated and thought out and overall deliver a greater blow to their opponents.
Gimmick: Victoria has the perfect combination of great looks and physical strength to make her good in a gimmick match. However, we've yet to see her in one of these so we cannot truly know just how well she'd do. Thus Stacy remains top in this aspect.
Overall:
Victoria certainly is a force to be reckoned with and Trish should be weary when fighting her. Her unpredictable nature means that she can very suddenly snap and unleash a whole world of pain upon Trish if she's not careful.
