Time for the body! Make this and you are 100% finished your arm! ^_^ Great job! *thumbs up*
Anyways, make a pattern that looks something like this. Click here.
But not exactly, because you have to make it so that it fits you right. (all the little dots are where snaps should go)
Once you have cut that out of styrene, make a pattern like this. Click here.
This piece should fit on one side of the first one you cut out. After you've cut that out, glue it ontop of the other one.
After, make a pattern that looks like this. Click here. (Again, the dots are where snaps go) And cut it out of styrene.
That piece will go under the body piece you made. Like this. Click here
The Hump
On the front of your body piece, there is a small hump.
To make that small hump, you'll need to make a patern that looks like this: Click here. Cut two slits where it says in the picture!
After you have cut the slits, and cut out the hump out of styrene, curve it to fit into the slits.
Once it is in place, glue it on, and once the glue is dry, paint it all silver!
It should look something like this when you are done. Click here.
The shoulder
Take your shoulder piece and some of that thin elastic. Drill two small holes on the shoulder part of your body piece. Thread a piece of elastic through the two holes. The piece of elastic should be about 11" or 12" long.
It should look something like this: Click here
Next you need to make this piece. Click here.
So cut out a patern like that, make sure it fits your arm. It should look like this: Click here.
After you have made that part, you'll need to attach it to your shoulder piece.
You'll want it to look something like this: Click here, and Here.
You will need some of the thin elastic again. I used alot for this part, so use as much as you like!
This part you can do on your own, but here are some pictures of what I did, just to give you an idea on what to do.
In This picture I drilled 2 holes in the upper arm and threaded elastic through them and glued it on so it would stay in place.
In This picture I glued lots of elastic on them so they would stay the way I wanted them to.
Your Under arm
For your under arm, glue a thick piece of elastic on so it'll stay on you.
And for the copper band in your under arm, cut out a thin strip of styrene, and make sure it is lose so you can move easy, but make sure it fits right!
Glue it on with elastic so it isn't too stiff.
It should look something like this: Click here.
It should look something like this when you are all done!
Click here [Don't mind my foot.. ^_^'], and Here.
