About the Optical Society of America (OSA):

"Founded in 1916, the Optical Society of America (OSA) was organized to increase and diffuse the knowledge of optics, pure and applied; to promote the common interests of investigators of optical problems, of designers and of users of optical apparatus of all kinds; and to encourage cooperation among them. The purposes of the Society are scientific, technical and educational."

"The mission of OSA is to promote the generation, application and archiving of knowledge in optics and photonics and to disseminate this knowledge worldwide."

"The Optical Society of America brings together optics and photonics scientists, engineers, educators, technicians and business leaders. OSA's membership totals more than 14,000 individuals from over 81 countries."

About the Tri-State Section of the OSA:

The Tri-State section of the Optical Society of America was established in 2002 to serve south-eastern Pennsylvania and surrounding regions. Our mission is to provide a local forum for the optics and photonics community in accordance with the goals of OSA.

Please come and join us for one of the talks and for a casual get together before or afterwards.
