I was born in Canberra, sometime on my zero'th birthday (what are
the chances of that happening?). I then grew up (sizewise anyway)
in Whyalla S.A. where I finished high-school and started my
Electrical Engineering degree. Sometime during the middle of it, I
moved to Adelaide where I completed it. Then I started (and
finished) a Maths degree at the University of Adelaide, and
completed my PhD in Applied Maths in 1998. I then worked
for the Center for Sensor, Signal and Information Processing as a
Research Associate. After the centre wound up around 2005, I found
myself a cushy government job, where I am currently working as a
research scientist.
