Review
When we prepared to travel on
a new continent (and just when the story was so
interesting), the game end. We was thinking that
the game was over there, but more later we
understand that a great and huge storyline can't
make fully in a cartridge. So...
Since this spot begins this new Golden Sun! The
characters, the map, and of course the story are
the same than the previous game, because this
game it's exactly the second part of this story
that was released in our consoles since one year
ago. And we can load our characters of the first
game on The Lost Age using the Cable Link or
inserting a password that we obtained on the
previous part.
If you don't remember (or if you haven't heard
this game before), I will explain how is the
game. This RPG saga it's one of the best games
that exist on this genre. Reasons: The huge
story, with some turns and surprises that you
can follow,
and that we can be in front on our Game Boy
Advance screen while we travel over the world
where take place the adventure. His appearance
reflects a 2D graphics when we explore the map,
villages and other places, and when we fight
against monsters, we can see 3D emulations with
great visual effects!
How to play this game? Like the other classic
RPG games: talk, explore, use items, resolve
puzzles, pick up treasures, and fight. The
turned combats can realize choosing actions that
you want to make each time that you have your
turn. Attack, defense, use spells, items or
escape are common actions on the classic RPG's.
But between this actions exists an special
command called "Djinn", where next I will
explain how is this action.
The Djinns are little creatures with a great
power that make so easily
the
combats. Using the Djinns inside (or outside)
the combats, you prepare the Djinns to use
inside the combats. When you are inside a
combat, you can use them using a new command
called "Invoke". This command make that the
attacks will be so powerful.
The Djinn selection would be hard. Depending the
Djinn type (water, fire, wind or earth) and the
character status, we will obtain changes on the
abilities and the spells, including the class of
the character, transforming our character
radically. Take into account that each hero can
carry some Djinns, so the possibilities are
unlimited.
In short, Golden Sun - The Lost Age it's a cool
game with a great story that you must to follow
to watch the end of it. If you have played the
first game, Golden Sun, buy The Lost Age
version. If you haven't played the previous one,
buy Golden Sun before play The Lost Age, because
(as you have read), The Lost Age version it's a
continuation of the previous game, Golden Sun.

The combats, the Djinns and the great
storyline |
Although this
game can't compete against an extended
phenomenon like Pokémon, Golden Sun it's
another great option to live an experienced
RPG game. If you want strategic RPG's, Final
Fantasy Tactics could be another cool
option, or if you want a different RPG
style, Mario and Luigi it's excellent, but
is some childlike |
