AUGUST 2002 Pool Party:
This was held at the Dorchester County arena. There was a lot of
swimming and a lot of eating.
Go Back Canoeing Merit Badge (Canoe
Trip):
This was originally planned to be at the Elks but due to massive amounts
of Sea Nettles it was moved to the Transquaken river the first bridge
down Aireys road. Everybody had to flip there canoes about 3 times
(some flipped more on accident) and canoe around. After all the
requirements were complete Kelly Marshall led the group up to the damn
about 1/2 mile up river.
PICTURES COMING SOON!!
Go Back Bike Ride:
This was a 10 mile trek on the relatively new Cross Island Trail up on
Kent Island. This was for the new guys that needed it for their Rank
Requirement. Anybody however was welcome. This was a
very easy peddling trail very flat and paved. Everybody made it
through the first half fine but our luck ran out when something got
caught in the wheel of a kids bike and he fell on the fence. Then
not 5 minutes after that Mr. Pat's tire went flat. So he was stuck
walking until one of the gracious parents went and picked him up.
However in went smoothly other then that and nobody had any trouble
peddling it.
Go Back SEPTEMBER 2002 Gettysburg:
Our annual trip to Gettysburg has become an important tradition.
Money is due August 28th (last meeting in august). On our trips to
Gettysburg there are four groups that the boys are split into.
First years go to the Visitor Center and see the electronic map and hike
the Johnny Reb Trail (3.5 miles). Cost is 3 dollars for Electric
Map. Second years hike the 9.5 mile Billy Yank Trail which the
must carry a lunch on. The third years go to the Eisenhower farm.
And lastly the final segment of the patch is the Historic Downtown
Gettysburg walk.
This is a Family Activity the whole family is welcome!!
Go Back Leader Training:
This is a course presented to adults that are interested in not just
being on the committee but going on troop outings. This will be
held at three Round Tables and one

must become trained by completing this course. For more information see
