We met at Camp Tuckerman to do a site check and finalize our plans for Sunday. Things were not quite as we planned. First, there were two trees there, but one was huge and no where near the plaque. So, Sunshine is going to take care of that for us. We moved a picnic bench and made some decisions about where we're going to have people stand, place the cake, etc. Then, in the middle of the tree crisis, a Jewish Boy Scout troop arrives, complete with Torah. Sunshine took the lead and went over to them to find out about their plans and if they were allowed to be on the campground. They did have permission and will be on the site until noon on Sunday. They'll be leaving just as we get there to finalize. A minor issue that cam up was the fact that the latrines were not clean, as the county promised. So that's one more thing that we're going to have to do on Sunday morning.
After all of this was cleared up as best as it could be while we were in the woods, we piled into the cars and drove back to Connie's house. While we all worked on our shirts, which all look great by the way, Connie went over the ceremony. Everyone knows what they are doing and we're all getting ready. A few people need to write speeches this weekend. Connie will bring all of our shirts to the site on Sunday, so everyone needs to be prepared to change into theri shirts there. Also, anyone who has a Girl Scout pin and World Trifoil pin on the insigina tab needs to wear it. If you don't have one, Connie has one for you. Wear bug spray on Sunday and I look forward to seeing everyone there.
