Well, Troop 4445 has started off a new year in Girl Scouting. We met at the Chipotle in Bethesda (but missed Danielle) to discuss our plans for the coming year over dinner.

One main topic of conversation was the Gold Award. Since we finished our Silver Award last year, we are on to bigger things. Everyone needs to get working on their prerequisites, which at this point includes emailing Connie what focus book you'd like to work on, and working on IPs on your own. Also, we talked a little about project ideas. Meghan told everyone about how her Gold Award project is going. She needs help with running workshops, which is a great opportunity to get leadership hours!

We also would love to do another trip this year, since we all had such a great time in NYC! We talked about several places, but seem pretty much in favor of making a March trip to Boston. More details will have to be worked out as time goes on.

We're going to have an official meeting schedule this year. Every first Wednesday of the month, we will meet at Connie's house from 6:30-8:30. There will be dinner, but those details will be worked out later. That means that out next meeting is next week, Wednesday, September 3. We really hope that everyone can make it!
