The 2000 Philmont Autumn Adventure program runs from August 25 - November 9.
No reservations are accepted for September 30 - October 4 as Philmont is closed
for the annual elk hunt.
Philmont weight limits are in effect for Autumn Adventure. The cost is
$25 per person per day so a two day trip would be $50 per person. The
fee covers the cost of trail food, water purification chemical, bear bag
& rope and a guide. A $100 crew deposit is required to book an Autumn
Adventure. The remaining fee is due upon arrival.
The program is very flexible. It may consist of a day hike or a
serious backpacking trek lasting several days.

Philmont maintains a special mailing list for their "off season" camping
