Turn for America is a national call to service by the Boy Scouts of
America to address the issues of hunger, homelessness, and poor health in
our nation.
In this effort, the Boy Scouts
of America is partnering with some of the nation's most respected service
organizations, including The Salvation Army and Habitat for Humanity. These
organizations, and thousands of others, will work to provide opportunities
for youth and volunteers to fight hunger and homelessness, and teach the
habits of healthy living. |
BOY
SCOUT FAST START PROGRAM

This online Fast Start
training is a quick orientation to help you get ready for your first Boy
Scout meeting. The training is divided into five sections:
The Troop Meeting, The
Troop Committee, The Outdoor Program, Basic Concepts of Scouting, The
Scout Uniform
You may review these
sections all at once, or one at a time. There is no time limit, nor do you
need to review all sections from the same computer. Most of the
content is text-based, so you do not need to download any software to take
the training. At the end of each section, there is a form to provide your
name and council so that you may be credited for taking Fast Start training

WEBSTER SCOUT RESERVATION

Scout Reservation is located in scenic Ashford, Connecticut. Established in
1964, the reservation occupies 1,200 acres of land that is home to
approximately 1,230 Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts each summer during its
six-week season. Scouts stay in two-man wall tents and sleep on cots with
mattresses. Three square meals are served daily in the Greer Dining Hall.
The Reservation boasts its own lake, so swimming and boating are extra fun. |
