Fundraising events held by Troop
18 include:
| Troop
18 has operated a booth at the annual AG-
EXPO help in Portales every February for
the past 3 years . The boys in the troop work for
the entire week selling refreshments
to people who attend the Ag Expo. The money
raised by the Troop helps the boys go to summer
camp, the aquatics camp and to
participate in other activities around the area.
They raised approximately $1500. in Feb. 2000 and the
local Walmart made a deal with the
Troop, they would meet the amount raised at the
Ag Expo! We would like to thank Walmart, the
local 4-H club (for use of the booth) and the
local community for their support. |
| Wreath
Sales- Every fall the troop sales
Christmas wreaths and greens to help raise funds
for individual camp fees and activities. |
| Popcorn
Sales- We also participate in the Trails End Popcorn Sales. This is a national event
to help raise funds for the Troop, the Council
and for national BSA programs. |
